Description
Release date: Early 2015
Special Agent Jim Power-The supernatural alien, Vaprak, threatens to defeat our world which is the last planet that stands between him and a dimensional vortex. This vortex leads to a fifth and, up until now, lost dimension. If he succeeds in defeating us, he will destroy our world, opening a gateway for his kind as well as the strange mutating effect that this dimension has on all organic life forms. His forces are far too strong for us to defeat in a frontal attack which is why we must send you to slip past his Omni-eye scanners and make an assassination attempt on the greatest evil that man has ever known. It will take absolutely all of your wits and skill but it is imperative you reach his fortress and send him back to the sulphurous plane from whence he came.

The game features several contrasting modes of gameplay, including side-view platforming, top-view, and horizontal shoot 'em up. It follows Jim Power in Mutant Planet as a different title, but at the same time reinterpreting the original game by taking many basic elements and levels from it. The soundtrack was composed by Chris Hülsbeck of Turrican fame.

This is one of the best classic shooters that came to Amiga, SNES, DOS and was unreleased for Megadrive/Sega Genesis. Jim Power is considered one of the most difficult jump and shoot games of the history, and we are bringing back the challenge.

We are releasing this game DRM Free!

Your first video sucks. Fortunately, the second is much better. I love this style of game, it's nice to see another one of these that I never played coming to the computer. I agree with about the (second) video looking kind of bad, I hope that's just compression. But, it showed me enough to get a yes vote.

@iscariah666: I supect the giant score/time etc. area was added to make the game widescreen without taking away the clasic 4:3 aspect ratio of the old game. Though, there were '90s shooters with big UIs like that. Duke Nukem II, for one.

I would heartily vote for this game but not in its current state...

Why does the UI (score, time...) waste 1/4 of the display area? In the old days, this trick was used to lower processing requirements with a smaller dynamic display area (less pixels to move). Do you fear that modern day PCs don't have enough performance?...
See Amiga version for example of non-intrusive UI design (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpaFi5VjS1M)

Might be a video compression effect but game scrolling looks awfully choppy in your video of the game and very far from the perfect smoothness I experience on the Amiga version.

I am quite surprised by your claim that "Genesis [version, never released] is ages better than the Amiga one". If you speak of game difficulty balancing I might agree. But on a technical standpoint I highly doubt this (even if only for the soundtrack quality and number of colors / parallax on screen).

I will keep an eye on how the development evolves but my vote is note acquired yet.

@Piko Interactive thanks for your professional response as I was finding nothing but garbage and many people still agree that the quality control on Steam's Green-light is still poor.

Nevertheless, I don't know how you'll improve on it in some way. The last time I remembered a month of people remaking old side-scrollers on Steam was when everyone said that they're kind of good and then forgot about them. It won't make any meaningful impact except remind you that it was there.

We might use the Genesis Version as a whole. It is the best one of all. Also might throw in the NES port we are working on :D

Can we also get a rip of the Genesis soundtrack? That would be amazing.
