Travelogue at Indie Game Con 2015
Quests and Content Suggestions
Description
Travelogue is an exploration-focused RPG, combining a sandbox style open world with overarching character-specific goals that can be achieved in a variety of ways. Each character class has a particular thing to achieve - get rich, map the lands, or become a legend - but its up to you to decide how you want to achieve it. Although Travelogue is played as a single player game, the decisions that each player makes feed back into the state of the game world, meaning that the conditions of the game and the tenor of each place changes from playthrough to playthrough based on what the community of players decides to do.

Manipulate the interplay of power between the five merchant houses, rediscover the secrets of the ancients, or return the art of magic to a land shorn of it – the choice is yours.

Features:
  • Exploration-based gameplay – go anywhere, see what’s there.
  • 17 cities and 5 dungeons to explore
  • Over sixty routes through six different terrain types
  • Your actions influence the balance of forces in the Midlands – for everyone! Shape the world into the place you want through your actions.
  • Fight strange creatures using dozens of different abilities
  • Trade in over 30 types of goods
  • Three different classes to play with their own quest-lines and sets of skills.
  • Over 130 distinct events

Travelogue is a complete game right now, but due to its modular nature there is plenty of room for it to be extended if there's a good response on Greenlight.

The game has actually been released for awhile now, but just through our site. The big thing for us now is trying to get it through Greenlight, since that would mean a much wider audience and would also be a good opportunity to do a revamp of the art, interface, etc as well as add in some extra content before the Steam release.

(I'm hoping it'd be possible to give out Steam keys for those who have bought it already, but I don't know Steam's policy on that)

There's a plague event in the early spring that can trigger that is sort of like that.

I would enjoy this game.. as it has a sense of mystery..up vote.
The game should have radom events that happen outside of where you are...a city being destoryed while you are away example :P

Personally the game seems minimalistic which can actually be a good thing as it will attract people that want an easy to run game. Personally, I don't know if I would purchase the game since its not exactly my prefrence for entertainment but there is a market for a game like this and I do hope that it reaches it.

@Bogard Yeah, there are preset paths your character can walk on, and random events can happen while you're on the road, and at destinations along the way. There is quite a bit of mystery to the game, so even though you aren't free roaming, there's still a pretty great sense of exploration and discovery.

I'm a harsh person when it comes to voting for or against games. In this instance I'd like to see where the game goes, I'd love to see better graphics. I love the concept of the game so I'll vote yes and see how far this game gets.
