Sound Effects and features
  • Fireball trap
  • Teleport trap (fires teleports which take you back to the beginning, thanks to my wife for this one)
  • Puzzle dial with a pattern that needs to be matched
  • Swinging metal ball on a rod to push you off platforms

My other plans remain the same:
  • Character development with special abilities to control the dream world
  • More levels
  • Metal theme for all objects, which will appear later in the game, piece by piece
It is a lot of work, but I'll get there slowly. Just keep voting "Yes" and keep me motivated to make it :)

Thanks to everyone for the support and the opportunity to polish my game. Its a lot of work for one man, but I have a dream and I'll never quit until I make it real!

Description
First Person Platformer where you have to escape the Dreamlord's nightmare! Use your legs and mind to navigate through the obstacles if you want to wake up again.

Collect Mind Fragments and jump from platform to platform in order to reach the end portal in time and escape. The Dreamlord has given you jump pads, teleports, elevators, anti-gravity devices and lots of platforms to jump on and get to the end.

Features:
  • 13 different objects which combine to create different puzzles.
  • Realistic physics simulation, real-life gravity acceleration.
  • Voice overs.
  • Collectible Mind Fragments, which unlock special abilities.
  • Detailed graphics with normal mapping
  • Expansion system including level packs, model packs, voice overs & sfx, events
  • Level Editor

Dive in a dream environment filled with traps and obstacles and find the exit. Its your only chance to wake up again!

A little information about the objects in the game:
Apart from the regular columns, there are:
  • Mind fragments - give more time and in the future, unlock special abilities
  • Jump platforms - makes your legs stronger to jump higher
  • Moving platforms - move back and forth in fixed intervals
  • Disappearing platforms - they start to fade away once you step on them
  • Button Activated platforms - hidden, until you press the corresponding button
  • Elevators - go up and down
  • Sinking platforms - going down when you step on it
  • Almost invisible platforms - mainly to confuse you about the main path or to hide a different path
  • Anti-gravity platforms - reverse your gravity when you're under it
  • Teleport - teleports you to a different part of the level
  • Spikes trap - activate after you step on a column above the spikes or show/hide on fixed interval
  • NEW WIP Fireball trap - shoots fireballs at fixed interval
  • PLANNED Teleport trap - shoots teleports that will take you to the beginning of the level
  • PLANNED Swinging metal ball - it'll push you off a column
  • PLANNED Breakable glass platform - will break if you step twice on it (or if you fall from high)
  • PLANNED Puzzle dial - opens a gate that blocks your path
  • PLANNED Floating platform - it takes your inertia once you step on it and will float in that direction for a while.

I hope this satisfies your curiosity for now... There will be more.

There is a story. Without a budget I cant implement all of it, but enough to describe the concept and the beginning of the series.

The game as it looks now seems fairly simple and interesting. But it also feels very generic to me. I'm wondering; is there a story that connects everything together?

I think that adding a third person view would make it so much more enyoable but it seems simple and fun so far

All of these are valid suggestions or constructive criticism, but I am limited by the $0 budget I have :)

In short, some of the features you mention are already implemented, some of the features are planned, and some have been thought about, but wont make it because of time or money limitation.
There is a metal theme planned for a future update (after release) and a story cinematic at the beginning to set the time the game takes place at and to give focus on the goal and the enemy (Dreamlord).

I'm making the Level Editor to support custom models and hoping a community could form and make some different themes, because I don't have the time to do it myself. After all, I'm doing the work of at least 3 different team members. If only I had a budget!

Furthermore, the game needs music that fits the levels! Like an epic song with a choir for the sky level. While we're at it...The character seems to be male, but why? Make the player choose the gender. It changes NOTHING, other than that the player can identify with the character better.

Also, add different levels: A greek-themed level, with pillars of a parthenon. An underwater level. A level in a castle, with stone-brick-pillars that are covered in vines. An egyptian level. A level in the sky, in which you jump on clouds. Right now, everything looks the same = boring. Add colors, play with the level design. Make each level tell a part of the big story. This is the most important thing you should add. I mean, I would LOVE to play the game because the gameplay seems neat, but it does look a bit...thin so far. Look at Mirror's Edge, and the colors they used. Or Dear Esther. Or Team Fortress 2. All of these games played with colors. Make each level unique!
