v0.006a = ready!
v0.005a ready and available on Desura!
Release date: The alpha is available right now!

The Quantum Principle is a topdown rts/rpg, adventure, survival, exploration, simulation hybrid set in space.
It features action packed gameplay and many ideas that are found in the 4x genre (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) are found in TQP as well.

The game is event and story driven, the ai story generator will look at how you play and at your hidden scores and activate new events and story arcs accordingly.

  • newton based physics model
  • a generation ship to command, protect and upgrade
  • jump from system to system, each system is randomly generated
  • command fighter, drone and corvette squadrons in hectic large scale combat
  • take control of individual ships and get right into the action
  • extensive resource management, gather resources to keep your population healthy and fed, keep your ships fueled and ammo stores full
  • expansive research tree
  • explore a massive universe, jump to a new randomly generated spot in the universe every time you click the jump drive button
  • train crew and pilots
  • send away teams to explore abandoned space stations and outposts

An Upgradeable Generation Ship

Research and equip new items and systems on your generation ship.
Ranging from improved armor, to improved and new weaponry, targetting computers, improvements to the jump drive, more powerful engines, etc .…

Fighter Squads

Command fighter squads, drone squads and powerful corvettes during battle. Let them refuel, resupply or order them to return to the ship for repairs during large scale battles. Let them draw fire while you bring your heavy cannons to bear on an occupied enemy.

Take control of fighters and corvettes, take the fight to the enemy in a small, fast and nimble craft. Dogfight for your life or scout dangerous areas ahead of the generation ship!

Build Defences and Factories

Build ammunition factories to produce and replenish ammo.
Take cover behind defensive dragons teeth, let them absorb the enemies heavy shells while you fire your weapons safely ...
Drop turrets and dragons teeth in the middle of enemy forces before sending in the fleet to mop them up.

Harvest Entire Solar Systems

Fighting the good fight will make you burn through your resources faster than you think, so make sure to send out a couple of resource collectors to suck planets dry of their resources.
Make sure you have salvage drones ready to harvest any asteroids in the system and collect nearby resource crates.
