Hot LZ

Description
Hot LZ is an scenario where your main goal is to transport soldiers to a very hot LZ and get away safely. You get 2 escorts wich will help supress the enemies on the ground. Basicly dodge enemy bullets while descending to get your troops on the battlefield.

Certainly, it's not bad for a first mission. I'd love to see more of what you can do with the UH-80 now.

This was my first ever mission, so thats why its not the most perfect ever scenario out there :P
The waiting is because of the AI, they get the "get out" order and then a move order and the AI needs a couple of seconds (or even a fucking minute at times) to get everything in order and thats syncronised with it, so thats why you have to wait in theory, but what I liked to do is get in the air and provide cover fire for the troops on the ground with the gunners and not get shot with an rpg.

And the random village is pretty close to the airfield, its basicly, go to the LZ, get your men out, get the fuck out of the heat, like a Vietnam dropoff.

Check out my other scenario with the mod, I worked more on that one and with some better special effects with it and stuff :)

The first part of this mission is great. A hot LZ, with friendly birds providing overwatch. Once you drop the dismounts, why do I have to wait? Then why am I moving to a random village to get a mission complete? It makes no sense. Other than that, the first part is great - and thanks for the making the LZ on an actual LZ.

If this scenario gets a positive rating *the shiny awesome stars* then I'll update this scenario to a higher dificulty and I'll work on the casevac aswel, so rate it! :D

good effort, completed it with no damage, tried it again whilst intentionally getting shot down, could you script maybe an actual casevac heli with a couple of gunships in support, that would compliment the mission or perhaps make the mission either earlier or later at night. overall I really like this!!! :P

I might consider placing one or 2 AA units in a distance, or giving them 25% ammo so you don't always get shot down.
Enemy AA like the Tigris is highly accurate and has way too much firepower for a transport helicopter to counter.

Yeah, i've detected recently that AI AA units are not engaging flying targets less than 50 meters above ground level.

thanks for the feedback :) originaly I had an AA vehicle in the flight path but that took out the AI every single time, there is an AA squad there but they don't engage untill you are very high up

Pff.. Piece of cake. Only tail rotor was yellow, thats all. I'm missing for the Anti-air vehicles =(
