The Gallic Wars (The Forgotten)

Here is the english version of my 6 scenarios long campaign "La Guerre des Gaules".

As requested by some players, here is a modified version of my campaign for "The Forgotten" expansion. The Byzantines have been replaced by the Italians and some unique roman units make an appearance.

Discover how Julius Caesar conquered Gaul in less than a decade: relive the famous battles of Gergovia, Alesia and many more. Defeat Vercingetorix and his ferocious warriors to become known in all of Rome!

This campaign uses the AI "Immobile Units AI GOLD[]" made by Zanzard Lothar.

Despite my best efforts, if you find untranslated text, typos or sentences that sound odd to native english speakers, please make a pastebin and leave it in the comments. I'll update accordingly.

Cadaeron> I just added an option to manually install my campaigns. Please try it and if the problem persists, let me know.

In the Alesia scenario the green ai surrenders after 5 minutes.

I recommend that people use this mod along with this campaign.

Very well done. quite easy, but lots of fun playing.

Commented on the old version when I meant to make my comments the idea behind the campaign but it is too easy. Even on Hard, AI/difficulty is a joke as the enemy rarely attacks and hardly ever makes any military units. Would recommend switching tech trees back to Byzantine and adding more dlc units like Legionaires.

Again appreciate the work you've done, but its simply too much of a cake walk. Your campaign could use a few more triggers and scripted events. Reminds me of those really cool AoE 2 vanilla campaigns but just needs a little more work to really shine.

You can still play the regular version if you wish to.

I actually think the byzantines would have been better, since they ARE romans. Italians area an archer and ship civ, which dosent scream roman to me (only archer part though) or most people

If you prefer something more story-driven, I suggest trying my Robin Hood campaign (don't know why it's less popular than this one since I find it more fun to play but whatever). It has a lot more eye candy than The Gallic Wars too.

Good campaign!
The only thing that bothered me was the repetitive B&D style, I mean, you could at least do some FIXED-FORCE scenarios (they're harder to make, but uses to be funner to play).
PS: Nothing much importat, but you could improve the scenario design (by using some more GAIA objects (eg.: stone, broken carts, plants, flowers, paths, craters, trees, etc...) and mix the terrain a bit more.
