Borderland now use Steamworks multiplayer. Guide might be useful for over games.

As you probably know, new Gamespy owners shutting down game servers which will affect Borderlands co-op.
If u want to play with friends this is solution.

As you probably know, new Gamespy owners shutting down game servers which will affect Borderlands co-op.

If u want to play with friends this is solution.

Download Hamachi, its free and no account creation needed.
https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx

Install and run it. In Hamachi create new network. Give id and password of new created network to your friends. They also need to install it and join network that u created. U will all see names of computers and IPs of all people in network.

Create windows shortcut to your Steam Borderlands like (i dont know where u installed it):
D:\games\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Borderlands\Binaries\Borderlands.exe x.x.x.x
Where x.x.x.x is the IP of friend or your computer that will host the Borderland game. You and all your friends should have the same IP in your shourtcuts.

Now the person that will host the game should start the game (only him/her) with the shortcut. In menu go to
LAN Game->Host Public Game. When lobby will be created your friends should also start the game with their shortcuts. They wont land in menu but inside lobby. Now just select your character, click ready an play.

P.S
Steam achievments works.
There is no lag or disconnects (but that depends on your internet).

I already play in 4 co-op and dont see any problems.

Does this work only when i have bought borderlands in steam or will it also work if i've downloaded the game?

I am having trouble with the Online thing allright. And I what do you think why do i go for Online Game coz i don't have anyone to play with allright. sadly. So anyone here have sometihin like me, add ye, and find me o'll catch withee Hamachi Thing..allirght...Cheers..:))

@BigBimbi1 I dont know. But Marvel Ultimate Alliance has online/LAN game (i think) so if all people that want to play with you will use this guide, game should see them all in local network.
You wont know unless u try.
