Description:

The Assault Recon Campaign is a faction whose dedication lies to the destructtion of the "impure" Whitebots and the "corrupt" Coalition. Currently their affiliation with the various other factions are unknown. Althought rumors have spread that the A.R.C. recruit Ronin on throwaway missions.

The Assault Recon Campaign favours robotic infantry. They arm them with state-of-the-art energy based weaponry. Many of their weapons can fire rapid amounts of low damage shots for suppressive fire or deal heavy damage with slow firing weaponry.

The Assault Recon Campaign will sell their services to the highest bidder - provided they do not ally themselves with either the impure or the corrupt; and they do not get in the way of the A.R.C itself.

Background:

Little is known about the Assault Recon Campaign. They are rumored to be the humans that have ventured into the sector Z1-A9; otherwise known as the 'Abyss of the Universe'. Some eye accounts say they look like they were once human. Their Reasons for removing the Coalition and the Whitebots from existence is not known; though it seems as if they are aiming for a unified peace. This goal can be achieved by eliminating the top warring factions.

Weaknesses, Strengths and Strategy:

Typically, A.R.C strongholds are defended by several 'Vindicator' turrets. These turrets have a very large magazine of around 200 rounds. If possible, force the turret to reload before engaging. The detection range of the turret is not larger than a sniper's field of view; use this to your advantage to take out the external turrets. The turrets are unable to aim directly up or down, it is also stationary thus making an easy target for a bombing.

A.R.C weaponry as discussed previously rely heavily on successive bursts of weak gun fire coupled with oppurtunistic heavy artillery or sniper fire. This makes shields particularly effective agains the light armed fire. Beware of the sniper fire; as they can kill any soldier with a well aimed shot.

Additionally, beware of the 'Blaze' variant energy rifle. It can pass through objects and damage and decimate an entire battalion of soldiers. If approaching a soldier wielding one of these fearsome weapons it is advised that you approach with a single soldier. Using the passthrough effect to your advantage, move forward quickly to take as little damage as possible and open fire.

Finally, to cripple the A.R.C completely would be to take out any of the communication networks located at...

the bayonet does stupid damage, but the gun itself is the problem. it's too strong. The bolter seems too powerful for a basic rifle

Do you think the bolter is underpriced or simply too strong to be in the game in this form?
I didn't think that fire bayonet was all that useful but I may be wrong. It was more for the aesthetic appeal :)

You seem a little agitated. It would be nice if you would point out what in particular makes this faction overpowered in your opinion. Of course I added the tag because in all honesty I tried my best with minimal outside testing besides my own experimentation to best balance this mod in accordance to the power of the vanilla factions.
