Better Region Names HatG

Description

The better region names mod, now for Hannibal at the gates.
Region Names are once again changed, but...
In the Grand Campaign version, I could get the names of the regions out of the battle region names...
I had to do the research myself now, I could have made mistakes, I would really appreciate it if you comment mistakes I might have made. Thanks for that already...

Patch 11 compatible
Compatible with most mods including the main Better Region Names mod and Better City Names.
You will need Hannibal at the Gates for this version. For the main version you don't need any dlc.

Thanks to the Creative Assembly for the game and DLC, thanks to steam for the workshop and thanks to the community for motivating me...

You might give also a try to the following mods:

Thanks to Peel, the 2 mods are compatible again, the failsafe version is no longer needed and I will delete it this evening.

I made already a FailSafe version including both Grand Campaign and HatG.
I tested it, it works for both campaigns, prologue not yet in.

You can use my region.loc files from my personal mod, I will make it available the next few days when I have time.

The problem you have is that you NEED to:

1.) edit the regions.loc file directly
2.) OR suppress it and create one or more new region files with a prefix or suffix.

Furthermore no matter how many new region files you make, in their sum they need to include ALL region names. In my mod I have it done like that:

- regions.loc = CiG regions, deleted all others
- regions_HatG = HatG regions only
- regions_GC = Grand Campaign regions only
- regions_Pro = Prologue regions only

Hence in their sum they will include ALL region entries and none will be missing, but all will be coexisting next to each other. Hope this helps.

Yes, but I just decided not to do CiG due to it's really hard work, (it's pretty hard to get such kind of information), But I'll make a version which uses HatG and Grand Campaign in one game, so you will be able to play both without restarting, but I am not really sure anymore what's causing it.

Don't worry, I just wanted to point it out. I have done it myself (for Grand Campaign, HatG, Prologue, but not for the CiG) for my personal mod and I know how much work it is! Thats also the reason why i didn't research CiG as I felt this was already a very detailed map.

So take your time. I bet nobody has found that out before, because they play either this or that campaign and not both :P

Cheers

Hi there, I have discover a bug. When starting the mod it will rename all HatG regions, but delete all Grand Campaign and CiG region names so in those campaigns it will have no descriptions anymore (only if you subscribe to your other mod, but even than descriptions are missing for CiG and the Prologue. So just a heads up from my side. Otherwise good work.
