KICKSTARTER ALERT - Only 3 Days Left to Back!!!
Not so blue...
Release date: Late 2014
In History of the Demon Girl players guide Roku through 9 pixelated Circles of Inferno. Along the way she'll meet all kinds of strange creatures and tortured souls which she'll release in a timely fashion if she wants to avoid the stinging barbs of her large demon companion Sam. The game features arcade style twitch gameplay and was inspired by games like Mega Man, Little Nemo: The Dream Master, and Bit Trip Runner. It also plays at humor reminiscent of more modern games like Katamari Damacy and Breath of Death VII.

Race between three different tiers, teleporting from top to bottom, grabbing tokens, releasing souls, and avoiding the obstacles put in your path by The Devil. In every Circle there is a "Break Level" which offers a completely different style of gameplay as players attempt to escape from one Circle to the next. It's one Hell of a journey!

History of the Demon Girl includes:
  • 9 beautifully pixelated Circles of Hell to travel!
  • Over 20 incredibly catchy chiptune songs!
  • Over 30 levels of fast-paced, arcade style twitch gameplay!
  • Hilarious sight gags, amazing slapstick, and hysterical wordplay!
  • Tons of surprises!

I'm not really into these types of games but there are plenty of retro-enthusists that will love it.

@Qyo7 - Also, just to clear up any confusion, I have nothing against a Linux port and it's seeming more likely as time goes on. The reason it's not listed and I haven't confirmed a port is because I'm simply not a Linux user and I don't have enough experience yet to say that I can DEFINITELY do it. I'd love to port it to as many platforms as possible, but I refuse to do it poorly. Linux users are entitled to the same quality as everyone else.

Short version: If I can do a Linux version, I will. I want to. But every time I read "No Linux, no vote" it just makes that community seem mean. Would that get you excited to make games for a community? I'm just asking you to think about it. And thank you for responding. I appreciate having this dialogue because I think it needs to be addressed.
