Description
So we heard there are a few retro fans around? We may have just the thing you were waiting for! If you are into bright and shiny 8-bit-ish pixel art style, chiptunes and fast paced racing, you can have it all! Most things about Race.a.bit are retro, with all the comforts of a modern game in terms of usability.

Another Plus: It's free! No strings attached. No adverts, no in-game purchasing. All it takes to get it, is a tweet or a facebook post =)

We love this game, especially for it's unique social component - you can create your own racetracks with a playful editor, share your tracks and times with people worldwide across all operating systems and can send challenges to other players to beat your best times on any track you completed.

SOME FEATURES:

• A large selection of tracks and vehicles
• Powerful level editor with countless objects and functions
• Various control modes to suit everybody's style incl. MOGA controller support (Android)
• Fast-paced racing game with a fresh interpretation of the 8-bit/16-bit style
• Fantastic chip tune soundtrack by "Bit Shifter"
• Global leaderboard system for constant competition

What will we add when the game gets greenlit?

• Mac/Linux versions
• Add STEAM achievements
• Check if workshop can be integrated somehow

This is not a mobile game, but it is also available as a mobile game. =)

It seems like it could use some more work, other than that, steam doesn't have that many 2D top-down racers. It's good to see the involvement.
