Description
NOTICE:The latest public version of this mod is located on Steam Workshop here. This is a legacy version of this mod. It is no longer supported, contains bugs, and is unoptimized. It is provided here as a convenience to those who choose not to download and install mods at Skyrim Nexus, where all historical copies of this mod are maintained indefinitely. You may experience bugs, slowdowns, and unexpected behavior in this mod and in other parts of the game. You have been warned. It is highly recommended that you use the latest version instead.

Description
Adds a craftable, wearable, Travel Lantern that can be hooked onto your belt, or carried in your hand! Or, catch a torchbug in a Torchbug Lantern! Let it light the way in dark dungeons while you keep your hands free during combat and adventuring.

The lantern's placement on the belt was inspired by Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It also heralds the visual style of Dragon's Dogma. The way you use your lantern (held or worn) can be changed by dropping it.

Lanterns use slot 55 or 57 when worn.

How To Get Lanterns
Lanterns can be crafted or purchased, depending on which one you would like to have.
Travel Lanterns: Can be purchased at most general goods merchants, or crafted at a forge for 1x Lantern, 1x Leather Strip.
Torchbug Lanterns: Purchase an empty Bug Lantern from most general goods merchants, equip it, and walk near a Torchbug. You will catch the bug and place it in your jar automatically.

Captured torchbugs can be released by dropping the lantern.

Features
* Manual of Lantern Care: A book purchasable at most general goods stores. Reading this book activates the mod's configuration system, where you can adjust many of the settings shown below.
* Lantern Position: Choose between Worn - Back Right, Worn - Front Right, and Held by dropping the lantern.
* Brightness/Radius: Configure between one of 4 brightness/radius settings.
* Automatic Mode: Make your lantern turn on and off intelligently.
* Fuel Burning: With this enabled, your Travel and Paper Lantern will require Lantern Oil to function (purchased at most general goods vendors). Torchbug Lanterns will require pollen from flowers found across Skyrim.
* Followers: Lanterns can be given a lantern. This feature is rather buggy and was improved in Wearable Lanterns 3.0+. It may or may not work, your mileage may vary.
* Auto-Drop Lit Lanterns: Equipping a shield with a hotkey while carrying a lantern in your left hand will drop the lantern onto the ground while lit. It is automatically re-equipped when picked back up.

Installation
Click Subscribe.

Uninstallation
* Back up your save game
* Unequip any worn lanterns. Move your character to an interior space.
* Save your game. Exit Skyrim completely.
* Click Unsubscribe on Steam Workshop. Ensure that the mod's files have been deleted (Chesko_WearableLantern_Legacy.bsa, Chesko.WearableLantern_Legacy.esp)
* Load your game. Verify that it loads.
* Save your game again. Exit Skyrim completely.
* Load your game. The mod is now uninstalled.

Known Issues (present in this version, which are fixed in 3.0+):
* Oil burning mechanics for travel lanterns is completely broken if more than one bottle of oil is in your inventory. The mod will consume each bottle at a rapid-fire pace. It is recommended that this setting be left turned off.
* You may need to wait 24 in-game hours for lanterns to become available for purchase at vendors.
* Dragonborn followers are not supported.
* Dawnguard followers are not supported.
* Custom followers are not supported.
* Lanterns may simply not work under certain circumstances, or stop working.
* Lanterns given to followers may simply not work under certain conditions, or stop working.
* Switching a lantern to the Held position moves it to the Misc items category, instead of staying in the Armor category.
* You will receive continuous log-file errors related to Chesko_WearableLantern_Candle.esp.
* Your game may need to be saved and reloaded for the "About your lantern..." dialogue option to appear.

Compatibility
Compatible with any mod that edits or adds items to vendors.
Compatibility was attempted with UFO, AFT, and EFF (multi-follower) mods, but in general this support is not the best.
Incompatible with any mod that adds lightsources that can be carried like a torch.

should definitely be made compatible with the custom follow Inigo.
Once you try a weareble lantern, you can't explore a dungeon without it anymore. I highly suggest this mod If you don't want to lose your vision in falmer dungeons.

Is there any way to block the lantern-error-message when loadig a savegame?
I downloaded this verion of the mod, because i hate skyUI and this version should work without it, but everytime i load a savegame i get this annoying message i should install skyUI...

Skyrim Ultimate RPG Experience: All Expansions thanks you for your mod/mods made that have been implemented into the collection. It does require all the Skyrim expansions, but is composed of all the most promising mods ever made for Steam.
