v.0.1.4 Pre-Alpha - Archery overhaul!
Release date: Join the thousands of players at our Pre-Alpha now!
Fight in great MMO battles or master a chosen craft – find your own way to live in a medieval society reacting to your actions. Survive in a harsh open world, enjoying non-linear quests and mature story.

  • Great PvP | Fight to the death, loot defeated enemies with an innovative looting system, participate in knight tournaments, epic realm vs realm wars where armies collide and castle/city sieges.
  • Realistic Combat | Engage in action-based, non-target combat where your skills and tactics matter, using weapons and armour modelled upon authentic medieval equipment.
  • Deep Background | Choose between the four nations of Midlanders, Azebs, Ismirs and Sangarians, each based upon a real medieval power and equipped with a rich culture, belief system and history as well as aesthetically different equipment.
  • Complex Progression System | Build your character from scratch or choose one of premade builds. Earn stats and skills and level up to become who you want to be – there are no boundaries at all!
  • Sandbox Crafting System | Create your own items with Gloria Victis' ten different crafts, in which your success depends on your skill rather than luck. Specialise in one profession, becoming one of the crafting masters shaping your nation’s economy or be a self-reliant jack of all trades.
  • Non-instanced Housing System | Build your own house, set up your village and fortify it together with your guild members. Besiege the castles of your enemies and rule over large territories.
  • Harsh World | Survive in an unpleasant, living open world, full of wild animals, robbers, monsters from medieval legends and beasts in human form. The choices you make affect the way people react to you.
  • Breath-taking Storyline | Deep, epic, non-linear story co-created with Jacek Komuda and Maciej Jurewicz, well-known writers and authors of The Witcher’s story script, numerous books and an RPG setting. There also are extensive dialogues and mature quests – Gloria Victis brings the 'RPG' back to 'MMORPG'.
  • Rich Social System | Be part of a living feudal society – serve as vassal or become a powerful lord, build the world’s economy, create and lead influential guilds, conquer territories under your own unique banner and shape the political map of the world.
You can take one of the sides, join a guild, family or order and in their name retake sacred grounds that other families are trying to claim. You can join with your friends and follow the trail of missing artifacts surrounded by legends. You can delve into the mysteries of unnerving events, learn the history and take possession of the wisdom and glory it holds.
  • Huge world to explore | Enjoy travels through our non-instanced world, discover ancient secrets and seek forgotten treasure ‒ or just take a stroll through our vibrant living environment.

Join Pre-Alpha now and:
  • Create a unique set of equipment, choosing from more than 200 weapons and armours, modelled upon authentic medieval gear.
  • Kill and loot other players with our unique partial loot system.
  • Create your guild and rule the server.
  • Fight your way through mountain passes, bandit camps and scary dungeons with your party.
  • Collect various resources around the world. Find treasures or steal garlic from poor villagers.
  • Spike your enemies with arrows using various bows like reflex or long bows.
  • Choose one of two nations: proud Midlanders or vengeful Ismirs.
  • Hunt animals and fight monsters based on medieval folklore, skin them and trade with other players.

I was wondering specifically what features are in the game right now, as I am considering donating to get into early access but I want to know exactly what I will be getting. I don't just want the website's slightly vague description; a simple and precise list of features will help me to decide whether to get early access or just wait for free release. Thanks in advance. Of course we will do our best to prevent in game shop being pay to win. Since I believe 20% exp bonus is something which is not pay to win, because it just make character progress faster (and we do need to gain some money to pay our servers) selling best items or things like this is just unacceptable and I can assure you it won't happen. The only ingame items to sell we are considering will be cosmetic, such as your own designed logo you can print into your guild banners or different skins - no item statistics affected.

By the way - within 10 hours there will be a official PvP event at our server!

We do exactly know what do you mean and we are afraid of this too. Market will go into full free to play for sure (well, about 90% of games are there already!), and its the only way to go for a Indie studio.
Anyway we are designing our game to be able to make various servers types. Those with less, and those with bigger PvP. Free to play, and those without any microtransactions, but for subscribers only. Server variety will depend on our community decisions, and we will be making pools about it later by our forums (like we are doing already with alot of game aspects).

One question, are you sure that your game will be f2p? May be it's better to be a p2p? But of course it's up to you to decide. But for me it's better when all players have the same in-game opportunities and mustn't pay for in-game items by real money or grind them very hard. For me it's better to pay every month and play on the same conditions and terms with other, and when i know that all that game included can be obtained in-game. Just an opinion, not more :-)

I love you, guys! Very pleasant communication, just astonishing! Hope that you'll make a game of your dream. I join you soon with my pledge :-)

Path of exile survives well as a free to play game

I donated to the game, i'm testing it, reporting bugs and all the thing, very glad i can help. The game concept is awesome and everything, but there's one thing that is really iritating me. The fact that the devs of the game want it Free to Play. .-. This idea really makes me sick, every ftp game become a pay to win, and if it is only for the cosmetic changes it makes me sick a lot much more, i hate watching those fucking rich kiddos that are running in front of me with their gold armors "cuz' my mummy has a lot of money". I would really like to see the devs change their minds and in the future make it a normal game to buy.

@BoomBox Thank you for your comment. Speaking of playerbase - what timezone and server you were trynig? Most of time there is about 20 people each server which gives about 2000 unique users each day (from total 11k playerbase already).

@tholdiel - have you used Steam gamekey? It should appear in there right after using it.

@cedric_hr_02 We are not officially supporting it at this moment, but later we will. I know there are some players emulating from Mac/Linux already.

@Yoofaloof - thank you!

The game may be far from finished - but what atmosphere!
