      You can play the campaign in Co-op Modus for 2-4 Players.
    • Campaign Map
      The campaign map delivers a comfortable overview of progress in a specific campaign.
    • 3 nations to play
      The player can choose between the Dreoks, Eldrans or Kal’than, where each nation has it’s own towers with different strengths
    • S.A.D. System
      Our own developed Search and Destroy System lets enemies take their own way of choice, depending on the danger-level of a specific way, calculated by the system. This invention introduces a new feature for tower defense games, where enemies have their own artificial intelligence.
    • High Replayability
      There are approximately 45 hours of gameplay in the main storyline, and many hours of play in multiplayer mode. Each map is very replayable, throughout the S.A.D. system, which delivers a dynamic gameplay.
    • Over 600 Enemies
      The player will battle against over 50 different enemy types with different levels each, 15 boss types and 15 elementary enemies. As the maps progress, the enemies become stronger and more difficult to defeat.
    • 62 Unique Maps
      Towers of Altrac has 62 unique environments, each with a different placement of roads, tower build locations, and open areas to plan a strategy around.
    • 57 Towers with 5 updates each
      Each nation has 19 unique towers with 5 updates each. Each tower has unique trade offs that affect ideal placement, such as splash damage, single shot, different ranges and different fire rate. Some aura towers improve other nearby towers, and some are ideal at specific locations.
    • Special abilities
      The game incorporates 10 special abilities (Tornado, Frostfield, Meteor, ...), which the player can use additionally to defend the enemies.
    • Unique Environments
      Every map has its own landscape, way-system, dynamic weather system, day cycles and specials for an unforgettable experience.
    • Game Speed Accelerator
      Speed up your tower defense gameplay.

      Jede Nation hat 19 einzigartige Türme mit je 5 Update-Stufen. Jeder Turm hat seine eigenen Stärken und Schwächen welche die Platzierung beeinflussen. Dazu zählen Flächen-Schaden, Einzelschuss, unterschiedliche Reichweiten und Schussfrequenzen. Einige Aura-Türme verbessern Türme in der unmittelbaren Nähe und einige sind nur an gewissen Stellen geeignet.
    • Spezial Fähigkeiten
      Das Spiel liefert 10 Spezial Fähigkeiten, welche der Spieler zusätzlich einsetzen kann um die Gegner abzuwehren.
    • Einzigartige Maps
      Jede Map hat ihre eigene Landschaft, Wegsystem, Dynamischem Wettersystem, Tag Zyklen und Spezialeffekte für eine unvergessliche Erfahrung.

I figured out the tower placement after a bit. This isn't mentioned in the tutorial, and it should be.
As far as the hud disappearing, one of the keys did it. I managed figure it out by trying every key, and got it back again on the next time I ran it.

The game itself seems great, however there's not enough contrast between the enemies and the ground; I didn't even know I'd missing killing some enemies until I lost.

We are not aware of an interface hiding bug. Maybe reinstall of the game fixes it.
For placing the towers, there are a lot of differently painted areas along the way, where you can place the towers. If you need support, we could have a teamviewer remote session, where we could help you. just send your request to

I'm playing through desura. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to actually place the towers...clicking doesn't do anything. While seeing if various keys did anything, I accidentally disabled the HUD and now I can't get anything (even the menu) to show up...

Update: we reached 50% of User Interface now. Our designer from Bulgaria delivers a good work and the interface looks quite nice compared to actual interfaces from other games.
Hope to soon post some screenshot previews.
We already did some bug fixes on the difficulty and other stuff communicated in the announcement.

If I was to compare a game to this one, it would be Sol Survivor, which is an awesome TD game rendered in full 3D also. But if they tweak this game a bit more, this game could very well define all future TD game to come IMO! It is very epic with 3 nations and 3 separate campaigns to play through, but it is really geared towards multiplayer right now. Single player is near impossible to beat, due to the smart AI with multiple paths they can take. It can get frustrating, but it is still a good game. I would love to try the multiplayer mode as I am sure that is where the game will best at it's best!
