The core of this game is the music. It is the inspiration for the visuals and the entire flow of the levels. This is really what makes this game different. It goes beyond just tying events to a beat - the visuals are designed to move with the ebb and flow of the songs as they journey to their crescendo. The ultimate goal is a fully immersive experience.

While the music is the hook, there are two features which give this game its endurance: it’s unique score system and the online play.

The score system is built around rewarding players for creative and challenging shots. There is a multitude of bonus types, many of which can be combined for additional bonuses. As your skill improves you will learn how to combine your left and right click weapons to place and redirect shots in ways to maximize your score through each unique section of the game. A skilled player can find ways to extend streaks, unlock secrets, and score literally thousands of times higher than a beginner.

A free drop in online mode supports global challenges where players compete concurrently in levels with custom rules, forcing players to adjust their gameplay strategies and place high to earn online fame. In these challenges, players can risk their fame, betting it for even greater rewards.

This is a game built by one person, using Unreal over the past three years. It takes inspiration from the demoscene and features some of the best techno mod music from an earlier era. Thanks for reading and for giving it a chance!

The production value of this game alone makes it worth a look - the concept is interesting - and while reminiscent of Child of eden and similar games, it appears to have it's own personality. I rarely vote on greenlight projects because, truth be told, many of them look like utter garbage. This game stood out and I look forward to playing it.

The scoring has the same feel. You don't upgrade your weapon (or swap weapons) as you go, instead you start with everything at the beginning. However, the weapon system takes a while to really master - there is a left and a right click weapon and they can be used together in many ways. This allowed the scoring system to really be integrated with the weapon. Overall, the weapon and scoring system is much deeper and richer than GDN. The levels are really the biggest change, being completely unique and built around the music, with secrets built in. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Same here :) Couple questions if you have the time...

Is the scoring/points going to be similar? like multipliers, ricochet bonus, quick shot etc?
And is the lightning gun or an equivalent available? Gotta say I didn't really like the alternate guns in GDN.

Good Luck!
