Keep in mind - the Drone Launcher was introduced in another patch afterwards.
I agree on the fact it became much more easier after that.

I disagree with the concept that Infected Explorers are hard to deal with. Playing Skye with Tactical Juxt Armor Shredder and something else makes them easy to kite and deal with using the drone launcher and plasma rifle.
Jumpers are the hard ******** to kill for me…so frustrating.

The building was rather tricky indeed. I started probably like most people on the north lume spawn and then had to rush to the east one later, the first 4 waves were a complete mess for me.

I'll try using ACPs later, I don't use that tower often since I find it too expensive (and a bit situational), I usually stick to the old Scatter Laser + Slow Field Dispenser + AMP and Range Spire to handle crowds, but it really didn't fare well against large numbers of Infected Explorers.

Yeah - this maze was really tricky. Even the build is not easy. What most people do not realize so soon: I started to build from the center, using mainly ACPs. The first waves were the hardest, since I had to take out any other enemies but Conscripts and later on, lure them all to the center to get them killed before the rest of the maze stands. But it worked all time whenever I used this maze. =)

Worked pretty well although I had to move the killzone a few times for testing. I had to add a few more bases close to the lower core in order to lure the Jumpers from the higher lume spawn point into my last, and most successful, killzone.

I only had a little trouble dealing with the Infected Explorer that got through the towers, those things are really annoying to kill.
