Description
This gladiatorial style arena was established at the very height of the Dwemer civilization, centuries before the Nords took reign over the province of Skyrim. After the disappearance of the Dwarves, this marvel of engineering had become a monument of their achievements left in ruin. After years of excavations and modern renovations, the Colossus has been returned to its former glory, standing as one of the largest arenas in all of Tamriel.

***Rated as one of Gamespot's Top Five Skyrim Mods of the Week***

WORK IN PROGRESS...

PURPOSE OF THE MOD:
The MAIN reason I created this mod is to bring an arena experience similar to that found in Oblivion to Skyrim. Hopefully, with enough time and effort on my part, the experience in this arena will be even better than that found in previous TES games. Oblivion's was simply a driving force for me. I wanted something on more of a grand scale and more immersive as its befitting of the title. Yes, you will be able to own the Champion's Quarter's, perhaps even manage the whole place at one point, but the functionality of the arena is my focus. I didn't want to simply copy another arena, I wanted to make it my own and have my creative stamp on it.

My plans incorporate, for all practical purposes, a small city. It will incorporate all of the things listed below at some point, along with others that I develop in the future. There will be definitive sides that you can join (ie. Red vs. Blue) each with their own style and benefits. A comprehensive questline for either side will be introduced in future updates along with so many other details. Stay tuned!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a strong believer in quality, not quantity (time permitting), and I'm willing to put the time in to give you the best experience possible. I'm always up for suggestions and feedback is certainly appreciated. Feel free to add me or follow me on here. I'll gladly answer any questions you might have.

BEFORE DOWNLOADING - PLEASE NOTE:
This mod is currently a work in progress as I've mentioned above. I've released it primarily for playtesting purposes and to allow players to familiarize themselves with the layout. I sincerely hope that you will subscribe and keep up to date with the development of this mod! As far as mod incompatibilities/conflicts are concerned, I don't foresee there being any issue but let me know if you find out otherwise. As a precaution, always make a game save before you go to a new location or install a new mod.

LOCATION:
-Just east of Solitude, follow the road that would lead you to the ships/lighthouse and you should see it on your left.
- In case you don't want to explore to find it, type:
COC ColossusLobby

WORK IN PROGRESS…

FEATURES in v3.0

The Skyrim Arena:
-The Dragonborn Challenge! Battle with up to 100 enemies at any given time with over 50 different enemy types! Wave after wave will be conjured up til you just can't take it anymore. *WARNING!* This game mode is not for the faint of heart! It's difficult and it's supposed to be! No need to constantly loot your enemies. Creatures you slain in the arena will automatically have their item drops added to a "Spoils of War" loot chest! This let's you keep a focus on the combat.
-TONS of traps that can be used effectively against you or for you depending on the situation :)
-Dwarven Ambushes are also placed around the perimeter of the Arena so it's advised to stay in the heart of the action.

If you'd like to teleport right to the Arena floor, bring up the console and use the COC command:
COC ColossusArena

Pit of the Valiant (Blue Side):
-Features a blood bowl similar to that of Oblivion that will heal your wounds and cure all diseases. It will prompt the player with a message that may sound awfully familiar :) Be sure to use it after your fights!
-As of right now, it also serves as a way to reach the arena floor without having to jump down. It will also be filled with numerous NPCs and combatants in the future.

Pit of the Plagued (Red Side)
-Currently inaccessible but will be available in an update in the near future. It's functionality will mirror that of the Pit of the Valiant but it will be aesthetically distinct.

Hall of Kagrenac:
-It's an elaborately decorated lobby that will be filled with random NPCs, shops, and quest givers in the future!
-Several guards are currently on duty to keep the riots down to a minimal
-A generic (for the time being) blacksmith is located to the left of the Hall after entering.
-A bard has been added to the tavern area to the right of the Hall for your entertainment pleasure.

The Armory of Lorkhan:
-Currently doesn't have much functionality but that will be added soon! Don't fret! It's at least accessible in this update for your viewing/critique :)

Champion's Quarters:
-This is an area you are free to explore but keep in mind it isn't anywhere near complete quite yet! It's accessible through the door behind the Champion's Throne on the top level of the Arena.

Necromancer's Nook:
-An area that has been designed for both pit areas. Functionality will be added to allow the player to store corpses in the future for those who specialize in Necromancy.

=============================================================================

UPCOMING FEATURES/IMPROVEMENTS:

General
-An efficient method of implementing NPC crowds and cheering.
-More environmental detail/clutter
-Navmesh optimization
-Betting (Either on your fate or that of an NPC...muhahaha!)
-Cinematic executions
-More NPC's to add a more "alive" feel
-Various merchant vendors

*PLEASE NOTE*
I'm working on this mod completely solo so I ask that you please take that into consideration when giving feedback. Also, please try to be patient with me on updates. I'll roll them out as fast as I can!

***Please rate 5 stars if you enjoy it thus far! It will definitely give me even more motivation to make this the best arena EVER.***

Amazing! So far I'm absolutely loving it! Gotta ask though, is there ever an end to the enemies spawning in the Dragonborn Challenge? lol...

A little harmless self-promotion attempt here...Within a year (hopefully closer to 6 months), I'll be trying to introduce my game design to the community and get it placed on Steam Greenlight. I'll try to update this mod some more in that time, but again, I can't really promise anything. If all of you have appreciated the time and the attention to detail that I've given this mod thus far, I assure you that you won't be disappointed in the game I'm creating.

I could really use the support so feel free to subscribe and stay in the loop on what I'm up to. As always, game on!

Also, if you need to contact me for any reason, you can send me a friend request or message me here, or use the contact form on my website: http://www.zedalisdesign.com

There I-S somebody back there and they whooped me good. You taught me alot, especially about dedication and passion to ones work. It is good to know that, "Somebody's back there!" Subscribe, subscribe, subscribe. I will.

Speaking of which. One reason I am a bit hesitant to pour more time into this is that technically any work I do, anything I create, is property of Bethesda. That's a major reason as to why I have been creating my own game within Unity.

I have had an update in the works for this for quite some time, however. I can't promise a timeframe but I've got some of my own voiceover work included in the next update. :)

@pjp1234 Sorry that I haven't had time to update it but I've had more important matters in RL to take care of. As I've stated before, I've offered my work on this to the community for those who might get some enjoyment out of it. I'm not being paid for my time nor has it really opened any opportunities for me. If you wish to unsubscribe, that is your choice. Hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere.

@Chaplain That's not a bug on my part but a general glitch with the coding of the game. I've heard reports of them popping up in other random locations as well heh. Sorry if that's frustrating.

@pieter If I can find the time, I'd really love to implement this system. I've been diligently working for clients and my own game so I haven't really had the time.

With zero mod updates in over a year I don't think we're going to get any answers. Unscribe!
