Graphics/Mechanics Overhaul
New Graphics
Pluck will feature pixel graphics as opposed to the brushed/painted sprites I was using before. The reason for this is that it took way too long to create and animate a single enemy for the game. With this new art style, I am able to create a more varied array of baddies.

Advanced Dungeon Generation
While in school I learned a lot of neat programming tricks that have allowed me to start developing a more advance dungeon generation engine. There will be no more stitching together of pre made dungeons.

Dungeons will now be completely randomized and created from scratch when you start a game.

As of today, the engine works beautifully and I can't wait to show you guys.

Local split screen co-op (and multiplayer) is in the works. More on that in the future.

Can I Play Pluck Now?
Yes and no. The "old" Pluck is currently on sale at and on If you purchase Pluck at these websites, I will make sure you also receive your Steam keys in the future. Note that by buying "old" Pluck, you will also receive "new" Pluck when it is released.

"New" Pluck is still in the works, but I'm working really hard to get an early access release onto Steam.

Pluck is a challenging top-down action arcade game with RPG elements. Is that a mouthful? I think so.

Levels in Pluck are chosen randomly and are strung together by the game. Difficulty increases as you get further into the game. Every three levels, you must defeat a randomly chosen boss enemy. After three bosses, the game places you in an all-or-nothing match against a boss. If at anytime you die before reaching the end, you lose everything.

An interstellar envoy escorting the Beloved runs into trouble on its way back home. Your ship is destroyed and your crew is scattered. Disbanded and lost you find yourselves on Novem, a planet thought to have been lost.

The crew quickly discover that the Dwen, the hamster-like creatures, that inhabit Novem are the key to finding The Beloved.

Discover the secrets within Novem and save The Beloved.

-An infinite* number of playthroughs
-Odd one-time use items that can quickly change the tide of a battle
-Mysterious artifacts that grant the player abilities that can alter playstyle
-Deadly boss encounters
-Frequent updates (new enemies, abilities, items, levels, and more!)
-Hand drawn graphics
-Original soundtrack by Ryan Stunkel
