Description
Release date: Late 2014
This is still a work-in-progress game

Description
Modulate is a first person puzzle game in which you solve rooms by switching objects in and out of your reality. You take the role of a young cadet being trained to become an agent in the Interspace Police Force (IPF). The device you're trained to use is called the Space Attenuator Mark V. This device allows navigation between spatial dimensions, which we call "channels", that each contain their own obstacle devices.

Features
  • Utilize a unique game mechanic to solve environments by switching objects in and out of your reality
  • Experience a serene sci-fi atmosphere with stylized art

History
The core of the game is built around an idea we've had for years about technology that allows objects to reside in different frequencies. A device can then manipulate what frequency the player and other objects are in. After theorizing about potential scenarios involving this mechanic, we decided a puzzle-based game would fit nicely, and thus Modulate was born.

I played this at EGX. No idea what it was, went in blind, loved it. Very reminscent of Portal to me in terms of puzzles, can't wait to play the full thing!
