WeaponizedChess available on Android
WeaponizedChess available
WeaponizedChess is a variation of conventional, Western chess. One difference is that weapons exist which can be picked up and used, hence the name. There are many other differences but one way to define what WeaponizedChess _IS_ is to take whatever path the designer of chess (who was that anyway?) chose and choose a different path. Chess has a 8x8 board, WeaponizedChess has a 10x10 board. Chess has no weapons, no defenses, no objects. WeaponizedChess does. Chess occurs on a 2D plane, WeaponizedChess is 3D (or 2.5 D). The battlefield in chess is medieval with knights and castles, WeaponizedChess is modern with stealth, non-lethal weapons, ambushes, aircraft, submersibles, jump packs for individual soldiers, combat scuba, homing projectiles, and conversion of enemy pieces into friendly pieces (now there's a 2-edged sword). In chess you move 1 piece during your turn (excluding castling). In WeaponizedChess you may be able to move more than 1 piece (potentially up to 11 rarely). There are 3 general types of piece movement, one of which is very similar to standard chess so you'll be able to see what standard chess would be like if you only added weapons and did not change how the pieces moved. Sound interesting? Includes a full-featured board editor and integrated game notation. Fully internationalized into 49 languages. In non-competitive mode, undo your moves and try again. Hotseat and online multiplayer modes will be available. If you ever wished chess was Different then this game may be what you want.

Looks win 95. There are plenty of artists out there... A lot of us make better art for fun. Great idea, but I can't vote for this mess, and I love vintage graphics. Sorta reminds me of the 3D in early MTV videos.

I like that it’s Linux-only (I thought Valve required at least a Windows version), but unfortunately I’m not a fan of chess.
