Procedural Face and Story Generation
Description
Astrobase Command is a sandbox base-building RPG in a low-tech science fiction universe. Explore the stars with the computing power of the Atari Age!

Inspired by the science fiction movies and television shows of the '70s and '80s, its focus is on the bonds the player will develop with the characters rather than the advanced technology they use. Build 3D starbases, explore exotic new worlds, and wage battles in space or on planetary surfaces.

Everything is tied together by an advanced AI Storyteller that is like having a living, breathing Dungeon Master crafting a unique game experience for the player every time the game is played, offering endless replayability.

This is the game we wish we could have played when we were kids.

@ThtCooperFellow, Adam addressed the question in our forums a few days ago (http://astrobasecommand.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=221). We'd be happy for your feedback on the approach.

Hey @jellyfish games, any chance you guys are going to do a early access buy in on your site to help fun the game development and hopefully kick this into high gear? I didn't even hear about the game until after the kickstarter was over.

Just to let everyone know, the new website just went up at www.astrobasecommand.com! It has the updated graphics too.

Because the kickstarter went unfunded, development has had to proceed more slowly than planned. As a result, there isn't a beta available now. Early Access is going to be the first publicly-available version anyone will be able to get their hands on. So keep your eyes peeled on this page, and follow our website (www.astrobasecommand.com) for updates. You should see some good info going up soon.

@danznl84: So far there are no plans for bases on planets, but you will be able to send away teams to the planets to explore them. Since the universe is procedurally generated, there will be more planets to explore than you can shake a stick at. As for max unit count, we're still too early in the development process to get committed on that point just yet.

Are we going to be able to make bases in the planets to explore them? if so how big are the maps going to be? Also how many planets is there to explore? What is the max unit count in the game to have under your command?
