Between Heartbeats on Kickstarter!
Development Blog!
Description
Release date: Early 2016
Originally placed on Greenlight in 2013, Between Heartbeats went on to become a Mobile Game released on Android and Windows Phone. Since being Greenlit after almost 2 years of being dormant, we're bringing it back in 3D!

Single Player Fast Paced Shoot 'Em Up!

Play as Biomedically Engineered Robot Duo Cecil and Egor inside the veins of a test patient of the Between Heartbeats Foundation trying out a new artificial immune system when all hell breaks loose. Here, it's the player's job to mop up the mess left behind by the experiment and cleanse the patient of the virus before it's too late!

If you mind answering, why did the game change in genre, style, and whatnot?

Hey everyone, we're now on Kickstarter with the project as it currently stands! Play as an artificial immune system fighting an evil virus inside the body! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blimbugames/between-heartbeats-an-infectious-shoot-em-up

Cool idea. I hope that it caters to older audiences too. I imagine that the harder difficulty settings and freedom of strategy (that I assume comes from the variety of blood cells to choose from and the number/types of enemies) would do that?
