Explore a Dark Fantasy Realm
Set in the fantasy world of the Forgotten Realms, inspired by the European-style continent of Faerun.

* You must have installed and enabled Faerun Art Assets v.5.
* Gods and Kings Expansion

* Faerun is not compatible with most mods. UI only mods (IGE, InfoAddict, my Greatest Cities mod) will generally function.

* Choose from 25 Civilizations reflecting Faerun’s major kingdoms.
* Load Faerun with any map or map script with any settings.
* Includes four Faerun scenario maps with true start locations for civs.
* Random events allow you to vanquish powerful foes and reap huge rewards.
* Recruit up to three Heroes to fight for you, including Rangers, Druids, Wizards and Paladins.
* Most leaders have unique heroes, available only to their civilization.
* A completely reimagined tech tree with many new buildings and wonders
* Unit upgrade system allows you to transform your units to over 10 races, including Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Drow, Orc, and Goblin.
* Two new Victory types: Religious and Magical.

Hotseat Games
* Subscribe and Enable Gedemon's Custom Advanced Setup Screen, available in the Faerun Collection.

Troubleshooting Crashes, Installation and corrupt Saved Games
* Unload all other mods.
* Run under DX9 if running under DX11.
* Delete all previous versions of Faerun and Faerun Art Assets from the MODs folder.
* Delete the cache (C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache)
* Load from a discreet saved game, never an autosave.
* Update to the most recent version of Civilization 5 (

What's the best unit to pump out early? (In your opinion ofc) What's the best unit to take cities with? It's a bit much to take in all the new units and all my regular tactics obviously aren't working anymore xD Would love some coaching!

Heya, gorgeous mod by the way ^,^ just wondering how you get to underdark areas.. since I haven't seen any 'rothe' yet.. and playing as Lolthite Drow.

My issues were my own fault, I had forgot to uncheck an extended era's mod that was causing really odd issues. All is well without it on. I installed Advanced Custom Setup, howeve rhe Faerun maps are not in the list when opening the custom advanced window. Is there anything I can do to get the map to load? I think hotseat will work, just need the map. Thanks, and really nice work on the mod!

@knickalen If you want to engage in spellcasting (including transforming to werewolf) you'll have to use the BNW version. best, FA

This is really amazing, thank you! I know in a future update I'd love to see Tieflings/Fey'ri Warlocks. Ever since Neverwinter Nights 2 I have loved playing them. Also is there a way to have a character change into a were creature? I know next to nothing about creating anything in the game. Was just curious if something could be done based on having to ready some ranged artillery units. Elven Archer is rushed by melee, changes to werewolf. Anyway just idle thoughts and hopes. Truly epic job :)

@tbpkrark Next small update includes a more "big quest" monsters with different rewards, including massive experience for all friendly nearby units when the boss is killed.

Love it. Would it be possible for you to make the extra strong barbarians (dragons, necromancers, ogres, etc) give more exp than normal units when killed? It would be so much more satisfying to kill them!
