Release date: Late 2013 / Early 2014
Once upon a time there was nothingness.
It was the embodiment of /dev/null. In this strange boundless emptyness, a character emerged.
A simple existance. It was but a piece of even distribution, so uniform. It named itself o.

o tired of /dev/null and, upon a chance found, a place called /dev/urandom.
It was a beautiful place of Randomness, Strangeness, Beauty, Danger, Music... All were here at once.
So o set out to explore all the aspects of this weird place.

Artifacts of Aduss: O is a game about:
Exploration of Depths,
Survival,
Living Static Noise Randomness,
or even Attuned to Music.

While the game tries to keep everything to the basics, it also tries to keep things as open as possible.
Most of the time it's a sandbox, wide and open to play with.
There's not many limits placed on o, so keep that black hole generator on hand in case things get too wonky. Sometimes fun is only a reset away.
Sometimes fun is seeing what happens if you try and merge with the whole galaxy - speed be damned!


As you explore the various modes and places of Aduss,
you can find and collect artifacts that can change the way it is played entirely.

A collected artifact takes place immediately, but you can force purification of its effects
for a brief amount of time, in case it might interfere with what you're currently doing.

Any collected artifacts are gathered in your library, ready for equipping and use from the moment you find them.
Try different combinations of compatible artifacts to alter the places to explore, or the physics of space even further.


While there is no goal in most modes of the game by default, feel free to challenge yourself:
In the Library you can equip Star Charts for use in any modes.
They will track anything from time spent, to most entities merged, or resources collected.

Try and survive the longest in survival mode?
Give yourself 3 minutes to get as deep as possible in depth mode?

It's all up to you.

Overall the game will span 5 different modes, most of which can be altered through Artifacts.

Of these modes prototypes exist for:
Unstable - Nothing Lasts among the Rifts, Nor Sanity...
Survival - Grasp for dear Life!
Depth - Explore Spacial Distortions to Deeper Depths.
Attunement - Watch the stars pulse to the Music

Additionally there will be:
Scarcity - Create, Build, Merge, Conserve, Become

cant really tell what the goals or objects or mechanics are by looking at, i hope you include tutorial levels

In a game that starts in nothing, you are O, a nobody without anything to do. You go somewhere and do anything..

Lol, I'm kidding, I actually really dig this. I had to think about it, but it makes sense to me now. I'll deffinitely give it a whirl when you get it ready to play. :)
