Greetings gamers and gratitude for your continued interest in Astral Terra. The single player portion of the game is now live for all Founders (people who pre-ordered)! You can still obtain Founders packs by visiting the website but there is a limited amount left (a little over only 200 keys remain). We would like to stress, however, that Astral Terra is still in a very early Alpha Phase.

Our newest Monster and completely original race for the Planes, the Bloodfiend, is now ready and in game. Once we finish the development with the night system, Bloodfiends will only spawn and raid players at night. Currently they spawn underground in our new Caves system. New Engine Features
Our Voxel Engine programmer from TerrainEngine, Thomas, has been hard at work on optimizing and adding new features to the voxel world. New additions include further draw distance with better performance via a new terrain LOD system, a brand new robust Caves system that allows us to now place rare ore and other things for adventurers to find underground. A new waterfall system allows for water and rivers to be carved out of the terrain, and a new flying islands functionality will allow us to build out the plane of air just the way we wanted to. Finally, a new voxel building kit allows for a much better toolset for building out your world (besides cubes we have other shapes and all parts can be rotated similar to Planet Explorers or 7 Days to Die).

No Multiplayer
After a few months in development with a local contractor on Multiplayer, and seeing it wasn't going where it needed to, we had to make the hard decision to scrap what wasn't working and start over. The good news is we have a new, very experienced network developer on the project now. Expect an update in the following weeks on Multiplayer and when to expect it.

Dynamically Generated Worlds - With a robust modern smooth voxel system, our worlds are generated on the fly every time a player starts a new game (or loads up a saved world that they've already worked on). Worlds include unique and different biomes (ie: haunted forest, mountains, plains, lush tropical areas, etc) as well as a full underground cave system, interactive water & a fully destructible, editable, and infinite environment.

Play Your Way! Shape Your World! - No starting Archetypes – just pick your race (The Fey, Dark Elf or Human) and start shaping the world around you. Your character grows the way you play them based on your actions and discoveries. Become a powerful wizard or an unstoppable fighter, use your divine powers as a priest to heal allies or demolish foes or skip all the other options and just build a safe city, mine & craft.

Building & Sculpting - Create or carve any shape you like with our flexible voxel system. This means clay-like blobs, cubes, spheres, octagons, diamonds and every other shape imaginable. Also, maybe you don’t want to make a definite shape and just want to design a smooth, voxel-based chunk of land, or a unique building? Anything is possible in Astral Terra. Combat & Looting - Dynamic MOB system that gives players the option to both fight and befriend monsters.Fighting monsters will allow you to pick up their drops to later use for crafting materials, pre-fabs, spells, and other recipes.Befriending monsters will help protect your land from other invaders. No gameplay experience is ever the same with the ever-changing dynamically generated environments of Astral Terra.

Skills & XP - Gain XP through combat, exploration and questing. Choose skills based on the type of player you want to be and the type of adventures you complete. Unlock wizard spells by finding hidden libraries full of tomes. Discover your faith and unlock priestly divine powers by finding lost temples. Become a powerful warrior by honing your skills in melee combat and smithing your own weapons and armor. You decide how your character progresses.

Solo & Multiplayer Options -
  • Invite Friends – Have some friends come over and join your world so they can check out your epic castle or underground fortress. Have them help you finish building out your settlement or go on adventures together – whatever you want!
  • In-Game Server Browser – Check out what other players are up to if their game is open to the public. Filter search results and find the right game for you. Make friends and forge alliances across the planes of Astral Terra.
  • Persistent Progression– Across all servers, game worlds, planes and everything your characters maintain their progression and growth. No need to make a new character each time you join a new game and you won’t lose any progress. This way, the adventures truly never end!

@Elitewafflez - Hey thanks! There is farming of resources in game now (wood, rare ores, food, etc...) as well as survival (players need to craft or farm food and eat or they run out of health eventually). Currently, you can obtain food by placing farms and harvesting, or by hunting animals and cooking the meat. We just added new voxel shape construction tools, weather system and some other minor aesthetic items. In July we will be putting out a big content push that gives players all sorts of items to dress up their homes with. :)
