Flashy New Greenlight Page Just Created!
The Land of Eyas is an indie game for the PC (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux) and X-Box Live Arcade developed by Happy Square Productions. The titular hero, Eyas -a little boy wearing an oddly-styled cat outfit, is in a world where he is caught between two opposing gravities. In order to return to the place that he calls Home, he has to learn how to navigate this world using the opposing gravitational forces and the objects he interacts with along the way. On his journey he is guided by tree wisps, who direct him to find the one they call M.O.T.H.E.R. He also encounters a mysterious girl by the name of Abrahm. Is she a friend or is she a foe? Play the game to find out!

This game is now up on Kickstarter!

HassenB_TN: Really? You're the first one to say that. If you wanted to make Stephen the Programmer cry, then mission accomplished. ='(

The graphics have been majorly updated in the game since this trailer was made. It has really sophisticated graphics made by ink drawings that take weeks just to complete a single piece. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

JohnnyArcade: I will have to disagree with you about the factory parts looking too similar to Super Meat Boy. That's mainly because the factory parts were actually inspired by Fez and to a lesser extent World of Goo (one of my favorite games), heh. =P

Thanks for the comments guys! I really do respect you for challenging me and I hope that everything's going well!

Xeriku: Believe it or not, it has no influence by VVVVVV or The Floor is Jelly. However, I am absolutely familiar with those games! I definitely know that you were talking about the individual game mechanics too, heh. It also has influences from World of Goo, Super Mario Bros, and others!

It's definitely not disorganized, though. We have the whole thing scripted out with different worlds that completely changes the game's style in order to prevent it from going stale.

This game does present truly unique challenges with its stages that you have not encountered before, as well as a unique storyline (and an awesome soundtrack). When we put this game up on display for the first time last year (when it was far less sophisticated), we got amazing reactions. The entire area was completely crowded with people who wanted to play it on the big screen with an X-Box controller that I had brought to the exhibit. This game is really fun!

This looks an awful lot like Fez+Super Meat Boy+vvvvvv+floor is jelly. I don't mean that in the sense that they are platformers, but more in the sense that the individual mechanics (minus the 3d tilt) all seem to be transposed in a disorganized fashion in the levels within the trailer. You guys clearly have an engine capable of making a great platformer, but I see no reason to buy this when i already own those other games. What is this game really bringing to the table?

Seems like a good killing time game but graphics aren't so good.

anyways, I give it a thumb!
