Release date: October 22nd, 2013
Build a powerful fleet to stop the tide of darkness that is sweeping the seas! Pirate Code is a turn-based strategy game set on a hexagon grid. Opposing sides have fleets of ships, each with unique arrangements of cannons, range and speed. Captains are assigned to some ships, giving them powerful bonuses and teaching the crew new skills. As you explore the vast ocean and complete missions you’ll discover new ship designs, acquire more crew, and enlist able captains. Soon you’ll find the ocean engulfed by a new super power – one that is bent on opening the gate to the nether world. Your small band of pirates, mercenaries and outcasts is all that stands in its way. Live by your code.

  • 20 unique ships to unlock
  • 4 captains that teach special actions to ships
  • Over 3 dozen islands to discover scattered over a huge ocean
  • An Epic story with unexpected twists
  • Beautiful graphics and piratey music

Thanks for the suggestion, Tiberius! The main icon has been a constant source of pain. Based on your suggestion I've changed it again and I think we finally have a keeper. I wish there was a fast track but I don't think that's going to happen. If you like Pirate Code the best thing you can do for the game is to tell your friends on Steam and social media to vote for it as well. Thanks!

Also, in the FAQs, they said there's a separate category for games that are complete vs. games that are in development. Since this one is complete, maybe there's a way to get it on the short list for greenlighting

I downloaded and have been playing the game from the company's website. It's a fun game, and is complete and stable; it really should be greenlit. I don't know if games that have been on greenlight for almost a year even show up in people's queues anymore though. Is there any way to resubmit a title for release? If you do, you might want to change the icon to be a little more appealing than just a big door. Maybe include some 2D art from the game.

Thanks, glad to know that there's still interest in the linux version. Votes like yours keep it on my radar as well.

Absolutely nothing is more important to me than feedback! Thanks for yours. I'll try to make some improvements and get back to you in a few weeks. In the mean time I would love to hear your thoughts on the game play itself. The game is available for download from our site. The first chapter is freely available.

The gate on the logo looks all right but the blue bottom part and the ship look bad.
Im being honest! You might not like it but better bad and then repaired than bad and not fixed.

The logo should be a bit more refined in quality. It made me think that this game is absolute horror but what i see in the trailer? The gameplay looks fantastic and graphics too! -upvote
