Pirate Code has been Greenlit!
Epic Exploration!
Release date: October 22nd, 2013
Defend an island from a band of blood-thirsty pirates! The locals will offer what little help they can, building ships and offering to join your crew. Then set sail for distant lands! Explore the sea for exotic islands with strange mechanical vessels and bizarre contraptions built to travel under the water. Teach your crew fantastic new abilities that can repair ships and set enemy ships on fire! And never relent your attacks on the pirates! Many will join them, claiming that you are actually pirates and should be stopped. But you know the truth. Follow your code to protect the weak and remain fearless in the face of unstoppable odds. As darkness falls over the sea there will be no one else to stand against it.

Become a pirate. Live by yer code.

  • Discover designs for exotic ships in far away places including clockwork ships and subs!
  • Enlist a loyal crew to man your fleet and seasoned captains to lead them!
  • Defend the helpless inhabitants of the islands as even their own governments turn a blind eye to the pirate infestation!
  • Explore the ocean for beautiful, strange locations, each with mysteries to unravel.
  • Hunt notorious pirate captains and take back the gold and treasures they've stolen!

Pirate Code is brought to life with celebrated pirate music and glorious, detailed hexagon maps! You can download Pirate Code at and someday, with your help, from Steam!

Thanks for the suggestion, Tiberius! The main icon has been a constant source of pain. Based on your suggestion I've changed it again and I think we finally have a keeper. I wish there was a fast track but I don't think that's going to happen. If you like Pirate Code the best thing you can do for the game is to tell your friends on Steam and social media to vote for it as well. Thanks!

Also, in the FAQs, they said there's a separate category for games that are complete vs. games that are in development. Since this one is complete, maybe there's a way to get it on the short list for greenlighting

I downloaded and have been playing the game from the company's website. It's a fun game, and is complete and stable; it really should be greenlit. I don't know if games that have been on greenlight for almost a year even show up in people's queues anymore though. Is there any way to resubmit a title for release? If you do, you might want to change the icon to be a little more appealing than just a big door. Maybe include some 2D art from the game.

Thanks, glad to know that there's still interest in the linux version. Votes like yours keep it on my radar as well.

Absolutely nothing is more important to me than feedback! Thanks for yours. I'll try to make some improvements and get back to you in a few weeks. In the mean time I would love to hear your thoughts on the game play itself. The game is available for download from our site. The first chapter is freely available.

The gate on the logo looks all right but the blue bottom part and the ship look bad.
Im being honest! You might not like it but better bad and then repaired than bad and not fixed.

The logo should be a bit more refined in quality. It made me think that this game is absolute horror but what i see in the trailer? The gameplay looks fantastic and graphics too! -upvote
