"Panda School Browser" is on Steam as of now. Launch Discount!
"Panda" is Greenlit and will get to Steam Store in a few weeks
Release date: Early 2014
Virtual sandbox in which your child can learn and have fun in complete safety.

It is a part of a «Panda School» project. This project is created for children and their parents and consists of «Panda School» web-service and «Panda School Desktop» Windows application.

«Panda School» web service is free of charge. Here any parent can easily find educational resources for their child as well as make their own contribution to the main collection and vote up or review their favorites for everybody to see. Panda School features handy rating and tagging systems, which makes resources easy and fast to find. More details at

The Windows application «Panda School Desktop» supplements the web-service and has two main advantages: autonomy and safety. With «Panda School Desktop» you can manage your collection freely and include in it as many resources as you want in any order. Your collection will be available and maintainable via either the Windows application or the web-service.

Our main priority was To create safe educational and entertainment centre for children. We want parents to be able to leave their children alone at a computer without any worries or hesitation. To achieve this Panda School Desktop blocks any activity not related to the application itself on the Operating System level. This means your child is not able to delete any documents stored on the computer or change any of the computer settings. Your child can use only resources you have selected yourself in the Classroom, or the Panda School resources collection, which is strictly moderated by our staff. In addition Panda School has a handy «Kids mode» which simplifies the interface and prevents children from any unwanted clicks. It also allows parents to limit their child’s activity to the Classroom only.

This application will be available as a try-and-buy downloadable software package. The application is currently in development, estimated delivery date for «Panda School Desktop» - January 2014.

Your friend , thanks about JK explanation :) I didn't know that. Well, "why not to try" is our life motto. You see, now at least YOU know about our app ;)

Why Steam?

Wiseman, I just think that your type of app, is again on a company (that focuses largly on games) owned app. other company's websites would have a much more inviting enviornment for Family & Child oriented programs. In my opinion, Steam isn't a right place to kickstart this app.

Your friend , there is a special "Software" section for such an applications.

And no it's not reskinned Chrome. It's a custom browser (based on the same core as Chrome) which just can not go anywhere other than to a set of hand-picked kids-oriented websites.

You put this on a Game dev. companies list, I don't know why.

also, is this a reskinned google W/ safe search? -JK

Seems good, but not for steam, the GAMING platform. Voted anyway. Could use a good piece of software after all the junk the community has been upvoting.. *cough*
