Lucid Awakening 2 Overview

Lucid Awakening 2 is a sequel to Lucid Awakening, an RPG developed for PC. This sequel retains the classic graphical style of its predecessor, bringing new life to the 16/32-bit era of video games. With numerous improvements and additions to to the gameplay, a brand new world to explore, and a story full of memorable moments, intriguing characters, and an engaging, emotional journey, there are many reasons to play Lucid Awakening 2.

Story

The Grand Martyr of the previous Epoch has been forgotten, even by those who were closest to him. Now Zeke, and several others, are beginning to have vague memories of the boy who saved both worlds from imminent doom by sacrificing his own life. Zeke sets out to find out who this person is, and why he has distant memories of him.

Zeke, Silas, and Terra must use their new-found powers of transformation to fight against the Veil-born, and the witch, Leer, who serves the long-forgotten Dark God who lies dormant in Sheol. They must defend not only the Awakened World, but also the dark world which a Dreamer's soul travels to while they sleep.

Many mysteries will be solved regarding the universe, the Epochs, Dreamers, Veil-born, and an unknown type of being known as the Harbingers.

Features
  • Unique, exciting Dual-Soul class system. Choose a Pure and a Veil Soul for Zeke, Silas, and Terra, and switch between them in the heat of battle. Every enemy is either Pure or Veil as well, so choosing the right alignment is key to winning the fights.
  • Part linear, part open world. Around the halfway point, the world will open up to you and you may choose to do whatever you want. You can even go to the final dungeon and fight the last boss if you want to.
  • Over 14 optional missions in the 'open world' section of the game. (Each mission has close to an hour of gameplay)
  • Dive into Dreams. Explore strange areas--most being distorted versions of locations in the real world--by traveling through Dreamers' soul threads into their Dreamspaces.

As a fan of classic rpg games, this one is well done and looks interting to me. I would have to agree with what Philosopherjb said about this including the first game as a bonus.

This looks like a TON of imagination and man/hours went into this. Traditional and unique at the same time. If this included the first Lucid Awakening as bonus content or in a "special edition" release, I'd definately buy it. *hint hint.
