Shinobi - the vale sabre cat follower

Ever since I first laid eyes on the vale sabre cat I have wanted one as a follower. My cat Shinobi disappeared recentlly so I decided to finally make this mod myself as a way to honor her memory. This mod is fairly simple. All it does is add Shinobi the vale sabre cat to the entrance of Riverwood.

She levels up with you, carries your stuff, is essential so she cannot die, and is pretty effective in combat. During combat her white spots will glow either purple or green. Don't worry, that's normal. I don't know what it means, if anything.

There is only one problem with Shinobi: She kind of bobs up and down while standing idle. It's not a huge deal, but I don't know how to fix it. If someone out there knows how to solve this problem please let me know.

That's about it for mod description. Now I will tell you a little about the real life cat that inspired this mod:

About two years ago I noticed this black cat hanging around my house. It would stay far away and meow a little bit, then run away if I got too close. It would usually come around at night, staying just outside the light coming from the porch. I could hear it meowing, and see its green eyes in the darkness. I felt bad for it. I started putting food and water on the porch for it and waiting for it to come and eat, but it was too scared. So I went in the house and left the stuff there. Pretty soon I heard the crunching sounds of a cat noisely enjoying its food and I looked through the window of the door and saw it eating. This went on for a few days. Whenever I opened the door it would run away so I started sitting outside with the food away from me. Eventually the cat would come around and start eating. I started putting the food a little bit closer to me each day until eventually the cat was eating right in front of me. It was around this time I noticed the cat was female because it would drink with its butt in the air. She let me pet her for a little bit, but as soon as she was done eating she would run away. Eventually she would actually hang out with me and sit on my lap, purring away while I petted her. After about a week she stopped being scared of me and would actually come to eat when I called her.

I wanted to bring her inside so she would be protected from all the wild animals out there on my property. This took some time. She would stick her head in the door a little then back away at first. I started to put her food and water in the house near the door and gradually I would put the dishes further and further in the house until eventually she was a house cat. She would hang out in the house practically all day. She didn't need a litter box. If she wanted to go out she would go up to the door and start meowing. She didn't rip up the furniture or anything. She was a good cat. Sometimes she would go two or three days without coming back to the house, and when she finally returned she was covered in leaves and scratches. I worried about her every time she took off like that. I had her for about two years and she seemed happy. About a month ago she left and never came back. I haven't seen her since :( I don't know if she is dead or alive. I like to think she just found another family to take her in, but I don't know.

So anyway, that's the story of my cat Shinobi.
I hope you guys enjoy this mod. Like I said earlier, if anybody knows how to fix the bobbing while standing problem I would love to hear from you.

Here is a link to the awesome tutorial video that taught me how to make this mod. There's a lot of stuff to do here so watch it closely and be sure to follow all instructions step by step. Remember, that when using a creature that is normally hostile you should make sure the aggro range box is unchecked and make sure they are set to be unagressive.

I read the story behind the mod and it made me a little sad. I used to hate cats but I took in a stray that was fragile and scared as well grew attached to him. If he disappeared like that id freak and probably cry.

the creation kit is not necessary in order to get shinobi as a follower, just approach her and begin a conversation. (If i rememberr right, she will not actually say anything, the game will just display a message notifying you that she is now a follower) All references in the description regarding the creation kit are only there for insight into how she was made, and where to find tutorials on how to do it yourself.
