Official Verdun Squad Guide

This Guide provides an overview of the squads and the roles available for each squad. In Verdun you always play as part of a 4-man squad which has a distinct type based on an historical unit.

Each squad has its own appearance, 2 shared abilities and 4 roles. When the squad levels up, all the roles inside the squad are also leveled up. Leveling up a squad means that uniforms are upgraded, abilities become stronger and weapon handling may improve.

Currently we have 12 squads in Verdun. 7 Entente Power and 5 Central Power squads

Alpenjäger Uniform ProgressAlpenjäger IconThe Alpenkorps was the elite of the German Army. As a lightweight unit, the Alpenjäger advance to close proximity of the enemy using the "Scharfschütze" as cover and the recon plane as guidance. The "Aufklärer" scout will then take care of the nearby enemies as the "Überwacher" observes their positions.

Canadians Uniform ProgressCanadians IconConsidered by the German army to be the most dangerous enemy force on the western front, the Canadian assault unit is lightly equipped with grenades and rifles. They can call in gas artillery to cover their advance.

@dinosaurhug : you just join a squad together. If you have co-op xp with someone it will be applied to any squad the two of you are in.
