Hi Mantis, I have a habit of doing the code first and making sure the gameplay works. Then I do the art if it's worth pursuing. So this concept is fully functional and coded already, however I'm only working on Super Trench Attack now.

The game on your youtube channel (super trench attack) looks pretty good, even the graphics which feel a bit clunky at first but aren't that bad and have a very unique touch to them, so I'm pretty confident about the fact that you can actually do something great with this one too (the concept is pretty interesting) ... but man, the graphics as they are now on your first screens need serious rework.
You can do it, the visuals on trench attack prove it ! But you might have shown your first visuals a bit too soon :/

omg... the characters... why do people think they can make any visual piece of art without actually knowing how to draw?! wtf? dude... get an artist or learn how to draw...

Personaly i like the style and the story you are going for, The whole Detective/Shooter idea got me hooked right away. If you can make it look dynamic while keeping it retro art style, im sure, I as a player, will more than enjoy it. Good luck working on it!
