Description
GLaDOS has provided you with a puzzle to solve, but at the same time she's trying to develop her sense of humour, by playing practical jokes on you.

As she is not yet good in her humour, she keeps pulling the same practical joke on you. Can you outsmart her?

*Updated*
- Added way so you can no longer do an unintended solution that everyone seems to be using...
- Republished it, now with the mechanics in the map. D'oh

Tough one! Finally got it, made me feel clever. Thanks.

You're right! I didn't want to make it sound bad. Calling it an alternative solution is much more approriate :)

Thanks for the video Innocentive.

I have to disagree with you finding another exploit. Yes its a very creative way of solving the puzzle, but you do the key elements: you get all cubes, you open the door using the laser, you press the button and you solve the lightbridge problem intended. So this is an alternative solution rather than an exploit. :) I don't mind alternative solutions, especially given that its very hard to execute. Won't change this one.

Good find though :)

Gave it another try and (having seen toncica's walkthourhg video) assume to have found another exploit: see here .

Its indeed not the intended solution, but I've considered that the very skilled player may still be able to pull off jumping there. It does not break the game mechanics, and is much harder to pull off, so I decided to keep it as such.

Ok, finally solved it. Here is my blind (after the update) run (40 mins): https://www.dropbox.com/s/33y7ceqsaqja23t/ohnoitsatrap2.dem

I eventually solved it but not the intended way, I didn't use the downstairs area. Here's a summary of what I did in the (long) demo: got the cubes out of the fizzler cage, found a fling to get onto the glass above the laser, found that cubes there get pushed off, repeated (many times), and eventually coated the bridge with orange gel to make it to the other side

Will do :D

@Innocentive: I just saw your blindrun, unfortunately in your version the bug was also present, so you miss the most important part of the map. Would you please play it again for a proper experience?

Oh, I feel so dumb now. I'm using BEEMod 2.2a, and it has all the items for portal2 clean style and portal1. For a different map, I use a different set of elements in the 1970 style. While editing my map the first time, I changed it, saved, tested, saw it had the wrong style, closed portal to set correct items and style, and republished. But I never saw it removed some crucial items. So to G^ and Prototype, please try my map again to find a proper version.
