What happens after AI?
Chronos is dead
Technology is what keeps mankind evolving ... But what if technology turns against us?
What if our own innovation brings us our doom?

You're slipping in the role of Adam which is one of the developers who created the Chronos system which is an AI with a complete simulated personality. It has been announced as the biggest innovation of the century and is able to automatically replace all existing systems. But what happens next proves that innovation can also destroy everything ...

Now it's your mission to rescue the world. Grab your gun and shut Chronos down before it takes over more than the secret facility which it has been developed in.

About the Game
AI: The Awakening is a story driven FPS (first person shooter) based on the story of Adam and Chronos. The game turns well known mechanics like sneaking into challenging new ones by combining them with the AI network, allowing enemies to communicate in a wide range, which makes the whole gameplay a lot more challenging and adds the feeling that your enemies are always right on your tail.

We're completely focusing on sucking the player into the world of AI: The Awakening and giving him the creepy feel of a dis-functioning AI being in charge of everything and giving him a peak into world completely dictated by one person (or machine).

Experience a twisting plot line full of surprises, action and maybe even a little bit horror.

We're currently trying to allocate all the resourced we need to make this project become true. You may help us out on our Indiegogo campaign to raise the money for this project.

Also we'd really appricate it if you share, favorite or comment on this entry. We love to work with feedback of the campaign and we're already in the second iteration of this project to match our player's idea of the game as much as possible to make it an awesome experience for everyone.

We're currently reviewing the material we already have and trying to optimize everything to be ready for the public. We'll slowly add more contents as we're satisfied with them so keep tuned. For us this project is really important so we try to make it real no matter how much we've to put into it (both money and time).

FAQ / important questions
Why are there only two languages planned?
Currently those two are the only ones our team can provide on a good level of quality. We may get some external translators for adding at least a subtitle translation for other languages later on if the concept turns out to work great.

What about Multiplayer/Co-op?
We're planning on integrating a co-op mode which allows you and your friends to play through the game together and maybe even play a list of maps limited to the co-op mode.

This part is sadly currently limited to the resources we're able to get together through our campaign on Indiegogo.

Why crowdfunding?
We're only a group of passionate developers and artists. We've been working on games in our spare time and we're sadly currently not able to work on the game full time on our own.

That's why we choose to actually use crowdfunding to get our project going and also to be able to include our fans into the development as early as possible.

The Project
The Evil-Co project itself exists since late 2009 and produced many open source products. Over the years the team changed a lot of times and the focus changed with them. At first we focused on basic web development but we experimented with game technologies for nearly three years now.

Additionally to creating great software which is enjoyed by their users, we do have a personal mission: We know that there are many people out there who deserve help in many different ways. So we decided to help out as much as possible and our current goal is to donate at least a part of our revenue generated by our games to organizations which really need our support. We believe that a small group of people can do a difference, too. Be part of it and help us with creating this great title.

Thank you for your support!

I loved the portal series and this seems sorta like it but without you holding a gun. This game looks really good and i hope it comes out soon so I can play it.

At the first moment I'd been scared, but then I liked it.

This seems like it's a rip off of Half Life, from the story, to the names.
Black Mesa = White Rock
Adam = Gordon Freeman
The roles are pretty much exactly the same.

I don't think this is going to be very good.
Models seems like it's been half assed.
Story sounds like a huge ripoff of Half Life.
