==========================================================

The Granite Maul was a popular weapon of choice for player killing in Runescape.

I decided to create it for Skyrim because I felt the design could fit in well with the game and because I thought it would be fun to create a high quality hammer that people might actually consider using. The Granite Maul is slow but still strong.

Both model and textures were created by me using 3ds Max 2011/2014 and Photoshop CS6.

==========================================================

Location:

You will need to find the small encampment near Rorikstead. It is occupied by Twig, Berry and Dad whom you may remember from the Troll Stronghold quest! Once they are defeated, the Granite Maul should be lootable!

Questions:

Q. I've never played Runescape, what does the weapon do?
A. The Granite Maul in Runescape offered a special attack that was two quick hits. The weapon was slow due to its size, however it was still a strong melee weapon. Currently it staggers opponents.

Q. Do you plan on making that special attack?
A. It would require messing with animations but in the future yes, I'd like to revise the mod.

Notes:

Due to it's size, there are a few clipping errors when it's placed on the back. This isn't too much of a problem when quivers are unequipped.

If for some reason the files do not work, cause crashes
or any other problems, please do not hesitate to contact me.

All screenshots are taken directly from the game and resized down from 1920x1080 to 1280x720. No other editing has been done.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy this Skyrim Mod!

Have there been many comments on its' extreme size? I have yet to try it in-game, but from the screenshots, it looks Ridley sized.

I like this because it's not over-the-top. It doesn't have like, 10,000 spikes and glowy runes, so it's realistic. Furthermore, it's simplicity is amazing. Can you imagine how lethal it would be to get bashed with that? It would hurt more than a dragonbone warhammer. It's length and overall narrow width gives it the appearance of a quick but gruesome death, like having a cinderblock drop on your head from the top of the empire state building. Sure it's not a wreckingball, but I'd rather a wreckingball hit me than having my head crushed with this monster.. 5/5~ Good job. :P
