Hamilton, ON v1.0

Description
Here I recreated the road network of Hamilton, ON, Canada. The map stretches from the west-end of the city, including Cootes Paradise, some of Dundas and Westdale, to the downtown area and west/north-Mountain areas. I took some liberty with the roads near the endges of the map, otherwise they are as close to reality as possible.


*NOTE: The topography only includes water bodies at this time, other topography - including the escarpment - are not included. If this map garners interest, then I may work on a more realistic topography for the city.

*NOTE 2: Buildings in the city only partially reflect real-life. Again, if the map garners significant interests, then I will work on an updated model that will have buildings that are a lot closer to their real-life distribution.

There is some growth room near the north end of the map.

This is my first Workshop map, so I would appreciate any and all feedback! :)

Its great when you first buy a game, go on the workshop and find the city you live in. Amazing!

Thanks Sarconio. Hamilton was the first map I did, and as such it is not the best work on my workshop. As time goes I learn and get better, and now I see that this map does need major revisions and refinement. I just uploaded the newest map in the GTA series: Brantford, ON. Next will be Mississauga, and then maybe Guelph (does look interesting to make!). Thanks for the feedback! :)

This is great to see! I can't wait to try this out, I lived in Hamilton for a while and go there often. I know I would certainly be interested in a more detailed and realistic map, but for now I'm just happy someone did it at all! I'm gonna play this and your Toronto map a lot! P.s I'm from Guelph, Ontario (About an hour form Toronto), and if you ever feel like doing a map that's a little smaller, but still interesting (We hav a very unique street layout) you could probably fit the whole city in a map no problem. Guelph has the worst public transit I've ever seen and I would like to see how much better I can do! Anyway, thanks a lot man, really appreciate what you're doing, keep up the good work :)

Toronto should be a fairly easy one. Right now I'm finishing up Budapest (stay tuned - in the next few days it'll be released!), after that I could work on Toronto and see how it goes.

someone's gotta do Toronto, ON. the many streets are perfect for trams (which is what they have now :P)
