Iaponia Universalis

Description
This is a total conversion of the EU4 map to feudal Japan.

At present, the map is largely complete. All 630 of Japan's historical districts are represented as well as 168 clans. Some database work still needs to be done, such as adding capitals to each province, stats for notable historical leaders, and historical wars and alliances, but everything should be completely playable as things currently are. Other than the map, little is changed from vanilla EU4 at this point.

The mod currently covers the period from the EU4 start date of November 11, 1441 to the assassination of Oda Nobunaga in 1582.

Future updates will add events, national ideas, decisions, etc. to make different clans feel unique and to improve the simulation of the Sengoku period.

September 13 Update:
- fixed Shimazu vassals- added trade goods to provincesSeptember 11 Update:- added colormaps for spring, autumn, and winter- adjusted winter provinces- added new provinces to trade nodes- adjusted regions and trade nodes so that their colors are more distinct on the map- fixed Osaki's capitalSeptember 5 Update- finally removed all country tags not used in the mod. You should see a noticeable performance improvement.- some bug fixes (positions and country histories)- heavily altered the southern Kyushu clan setup- split the Nanbu clan into two branchesSeptember 1 Update:- Corrected some minor bugs such as Minato-Ando using Mantuan leaders- added permanent CB between clans within the same dynasty- checked that all provinces names are period-correct- redrew (nearly) all province borders- added 50 new provincesAugust 23 Update:- Wasn't expecting to do this today, but Webstantine's great thread on the forums inspired me. I re-did the water and terrain maps (you can see them in a new image I added here). They're not quite pixel-perfect yet, but I thought I should see what everyone thought before I put in the additional time of making everything exact. So please let me know.

I find the orientation of the map disorienting.

Since this is EU4, you could even create a scenario that ranges from the Nara Period all the way to the end of the Shogunate in 1868.

Seems interesting!
Will definitely add a lot of flavor, but would have loved to see the Korean peninsula implemented into this, considering what a fundamentally important role the Korean dynasties played historically throughout certain eras. : (

Anyways, thanks for the work put into this & the upload.
I'll check this out for sure, and then post on improvement suggestions that might arise.

Cheers mate !
