Concursion Now Available!
Concursion Playable Demo Now Live!!
Description
Release date: Summer 2014
Concursion is a multi-genre game that sees you steer your hero – running, jumping, flying, fighting and occasionally dancing – through a dangerous interdimensional world. You’ll need to switch on the fly between the mechanics of platformers, hack-and-slashers, space shooters, classic arcade maze-racing and more, if you’re to succeed in your journey through a universe pockmarked with rifts to other worlds.

These rips in the fabric of the game mean that one moment you’re a samurai in feudal Japan, slicing and dicing your way through your enemies, and one jump later you’re a spaceship somewhere on the outskirts of the universe, desperately dodging asteroids. Throughout your journey you’ll glide from the side-scrolling platformer you thought you were playing into a Pac-Man-esque maze quest or classic beat-‘em-up and back again. Concursion plays with the boundaries of traditional game genres and produces an entirely new compound from the pot.

Concursion's first playable demo is officially live for download!

A List!
  • Five classic gameplay genres span platformers, shooters, beat-‘em-ups, racing and maze navigation/puzzlers
  • Journey through disparate worlds spanning five distinct epochs of interdimensional history
  • Unique ‘fusion play’ will push your skill and battle tactics to the limit
  • Finely-tuned difficulty curve ensures you’re challenged from start to finish
  • Composer Christopher Hoag (Emmy-nominated for his work on the pilot of House M.D.) brings Concursion to life with a reactive, adaptable soundtrack mirroring the player’s journey.

“A premise so clever, so simple, that’s it’s a wonder it’s not been done before” – Eurogamer

“An intriguing, creative curiosity worth keeping an eye on” – USGamer

“A game that’s basically all of the games at once… I like the idea here” – Kotaku

Prepare yourself for a fast-paced, challenging and above all unique new game from Puuba, coming to PC, Mac – and with your help, Steam! – later on this year.

If an indie game has an idea, but with only 10 levels, it becomes a gimmick. Looks like this game is shaping up to be a full-solid product. That deserves a full-price purchase.

Thanks for responding! That's what I'm talking about!

Hi Big,

We'd love to do a level editor, if people are interested. We have one we use ourselves, to make all the levels proper. :)

Beyond that, I guarantee we didn't skimp on levels. How's ~70 sound? :)

Cheers,
Danny

Heard about it from Kaz video - would buy. Just don't skimp on the content/levels, and consider an extra game mode outside of story, such as endless, leveleditor, or challenges. Those two things would make this more than a solid product, and deserve a much greater rating VS a 10$ gimmick with 20 levels.

Did a short video on the demo as it stands.
Super fun game!
