Michi x45 - fair no rush map

Michi maps are a little bit like black forest, BUT the teams are completely separated by forest. So you have a rush-free time to boom to imp and get then siege onagers and / or trebs to cut the forest.

'Michi x45 0 norm.rms' / Features
- Michi map: Each team is separated through a line of forest from other teams. You need imp units like siege onagers or trebs to cut this forest faster as with vills. That's why it is a non rush map.
- Borders are free from trees / stone / gold / berries: Equal fair chance for setting up a straight edge-to-edge trade route without any blocking forest. Hint: often it's a good idea to keep that trade path free from buildings and to cut it a little bit wider.
- Fair access to food: 1st sheep is already converted and close to TC (Towncenter).
- Good amount and placement of resources: You get enough but not too much resources near to your TC: 12 sheeps, 3 boars, 8 deers, 2x 18 berries, 2 piles of gold, 2 piles of stone, some near straggler trees. No wolves.
- Clear flat layout: No fuzzy treeline, easy to wall (you maybe want to wall the forest line).
(- rms vs cs: Random map scripts have a higher replayability then custom senarios because the map looks different everytime you play it.)

- 'Bad map!': In typical x vs x games, each side has access to 2 free corners for setting up trade. But, as in all michi maps, sometimes you get a (half) diagonal treeline where one or all teams have only access to 1 free corner. In such cases it's a gentlemen's agreement to save and exit the game (in rated games noone will lose points) and just to start a new one.
- 'Corner with trees': Sometimes u get a few trees inside a corner. These trees should be 'straggler trees', means: Once you started to chop them, u can build buildings (like a palisade or a market) over them.
- Wall wall wall: If u have the stone and time (and especially when not) then wall. Wall the treeline. Wall the trade path. But do not block own unit movement (use gates).
- 'Keep the trade path free': Free trade path means less jam. Less jam means more gold. More gold means bigger army. Bigger army wins.
- 'Cut 45, no BBT, no T/K/P': Michi is often played with these (newb friendly) rules: no cut before min 45:00, no BomBardTowers allowed, no Turks / Koreans / Persians allowed.
- One of the most played michi maps: This map is one of the most played michi maps nowdays (2012 / 2013) on (the place where many old AoE2-players still play the original game in a competitive way).

P.S.: The oldest michi maps i have found are from around 2001(?). I realy would like to know who wrote the first one(s), just to be able to give credit...

be nice, have fun!

" I realy would like to know who wrote the first one(s), just to be able to give credit..." (1999) a user called "mysticism" created a map like this. But this looks like a more "eco-friendly" one.
