We have been Greenlit!
The Commander has arrived!
Description

Mist of Stagnation is a multiplayer FPS/RTS Hybrid pitting two vastly different clans against one another in a beautiful, vivid, post-apocalyptic Steam Punk environment. Straying from the run and gun atmospheres of many of the FPS games that line the shelves today, Mist of Stagnation revolves around a “Commander System” that encourages players to embrace team oriented gameplay in order to survive, while still embracing the familiar FPS gameplay people are used to. Each team is trying to capture control points that will collect resources for their team. Their commander can then use these resources to upgrade their team's Weapons, Armor, Speed, and Respawn rate to name a few.

The Commander system allows for a mobile central command on the battlefield using a 3 dimensional map portrayed on the commander’s screen, all from the FPS viewpoint. Though each player has the freedom to move freely about the map, the commander will oversee the battle, and give orders accordingly. However, if a player stumbles as the commander, the team has the option to mutiny and vote in another player to take your spot. One of the main differences in our commander system is that that player is in the playable area, as a walking, talking, and fighting Mech. We want to immerse the player in the game, so the RTS Hud will not be a flat image on your screen, but rather attached to 3d elements in the cockpit of the mech. Tubes that fill with water to show progress on upgrades, switches and levers that will be animated to show your movement around the map and melee combat, along with many other buttons and gadgets.

The main theme of Mist of Stagnation is Team Work. We want to create a game that encourages people to work together, but still allows for the lone wolf that wants to fly solo. The commander will even be able to support those players by giving them the weapon upgrades they need to excel.

Is this game still in production? Not a fan of PvP mulltiplayer, but it looks amazing! If you guys ever add a PvE element (bots) I'll definitely buy this whenever it's released. :)

Sounds good. Figured I'd churn the pot a little after it's been settled for a bit. If there's more machines on a deck, maybe some steam catapult boarding actions in some ship to ship maps or even ship to land, and a few good ragdoll flops into some breakable objects, I think a chunk of the rest of the game's design will be well complamented. Do kinda hope there will be some of this, and maybe a few comunity events worked into something of a story to complament the efforts downt he line.

Looking forward to see what comes out for starters. Good luck guys. Know you put a good chunk of your selves and security into it.

we are in the process of adding a few more things like that. It will be made public as soon as they are ready!

Has there been something set up where more than just the Commander has a mech by chance? Have to admit this is my first time checking back on this game in a hand full of months and currious.

I fully understand as of now I have been working on a map for chivalry and once finished starting a full game. I know how much time it takes:) even with a team of 3 its taking us a while haha. Thanks again, the UV tutorial on the cave especially helped as now I can make my own assets because of it. Game looks great and cannot wait!
