Feedback roundup
Release date: First half of 2014.
Fable Kart is (as you might have already guessed:)) a kart game, designed to be fast, fun and easy.

In many ways it is modeled after the classic titles of the genre. Various elements of gameplay will be familiar: power-ups to be picked up on the track, silly special moves that give you some advantage, and such.

But we also have a few new ideas. We are planning to include innovative (really! wait and see!) multiplayer modes, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. And actually, we are not planning to include a single player mode at all -- because let’s face it, in a kart game multiplayer is what counts. So instead we will have a points system, that advances the storyline and grants unlocks to the players based on their results in races. Also, the special moves will be strongly focused on creating mayhem on the track, disrupting the race of your opponents.

In short, the general idea is to extract the best of old kart games, spice it up with a good chunk of new elements and finally get the right combination of speed, simplicity and chaos.

The setting of the game is losely based on the animal characters from Aesop’s fables, so the visual style is rather on the cute side. But make no mistake: under all that fluffiness, competition knows no bounds.

And btw, we would love to hear from you! Let us know if you like the concept, if you think we should add something or actually send us any feeedback you might have.

This game is a great clone of Mario Kart.

The only thing you need to focus on is gameplay. If the driving feels good, and the racing is satisfying then you will accomplish your goal. Just know that Datona USA is one of the greatest racing games ever made, and that game had 1 car and 3 tracks. So just make sure you find the design balance of easy to play but hard to master.

If you can have a driving mechanic that is unique you'll stick out. Racing is my favorite genre and after seeing the Drift Stage greenlight, I know its possible for a small team to create a game higher quality then triple A. There's truth to the term quality over quantity.

The concept is good. I've been looking for a fast and easy kart game to play for my daughter. All of the racing games here are too complicated. I voted yes in the hopes you include a single player version. I wouldn't want my little girl chatting online or playing online with strangers. looking forward to seeing it in action one day.

It looks like a very cute game, but first, thest games are made on their controls, their courses, and the way they let yo interact with other players. I saw an impressive setting/world design, but I didn't see any of the other three components. Furthermore, I like the cell shaded fantasy style, but the graphics are just to out of date. I think it's great to make a game that feels like a child of the N64 era, but it shouldn't be mistaken for an actual N64 game.

I think I would maybe buy this game. If it does ever come. I mean I think this is close enough to a PC Mario Kart 64.
