Description
Any ideas for improvement, PLEASE let me know, I am always looking for Experienced Civ players opinions for balance and gameplay.

Resources and City States are balanced for radiant and dire.


An accurate recreation of the classic map Dota.

Includes:
Rochan Pit -Uranium Source
Neutral Camps - Luxury Resource
Each Player starts at each Fountain

Resources are balanced. There is a scattered and randomised resource version of this map.

Change Log:

-Added a City State at each Neutral Camp
-Removed All Roads (this is a good thing)

Although this would not be true to the dota heart, I think if you made a bridge in the middle, it might be a bit more balanced.

My initial experience was that resources was too scarce, and the environment could be a bit more varied. With this size of map, some natural city-locations would be nice, perhaps where the towers are placed.

I downloaded the map, just recently, and there is still allot of roads, costing me a total of 302gpt. What's up with that?

I found your problem with the -400 gold thing.
It says that you have to pay because of tile improvement maintenance, and of course this means that there must be roads or railroads somewhere that have to be payed, by the players.
I scouted around a bit and the roads you use to signify the lanes probably have to be payed by a player.

The map itself seems to be working with BNW for me. However, I don't think the scenario does because why would I start with -200 gold per turn

So here's a list of my own suggestions that I'd like to make:

-Each camp on the map has its' own unique luxury resource.
-The strategic resources are scattered at building locations in each base
-Change a lot of the tundra to plains on the Dire side
-Remove all hills except stairs from Dire side
-Remove the sea resources from the camps, as they're impossible to improve
-Remove the Wonders from the top left and bottom right corners
-Replace the Oasis on each side with a Fountain of Youth
-Make the fountain areas a little bit smaller
-Give the entirety of the Radiant base, top, middle, and bottom lanes to Player 1 as territory. Give the entirety of the Dire base, top, middle, and bottom lanes to Player 2 as territory. Leave everything else as barbarian territory or something.

Although i should probably also mention that within the fountain i dont have the resources other than stone so maybe im not getting the updated version at all.
