Starting up
When you first open up, you'll be in the news menu, this houses all the new updates, glory winners, and options. At first it will ask you your yousername, and then the normal interface will apear.

Stronghold Kingdoms has several worlds that players can play on. Choose 'select world' and choose one of the worlds from your language. Click play to start playing!
World Map
First off it will ask you where to place your village, which is up to you. Then you'll be in a giant map.

On the upper left hand corner, you'll see your username and rank. On the top middle is your card deck. On the upper right is a place to select your diffrent villages (yes, you can get more later on), and in the middle is a big world map.

Your village should have apeared on the map! VIllages have diffrent pictures representing them according to how big they are.

Your village will be the smallest one, but soon it will be bigger!

Also you will see little bubbles moving around; these are diffrent forces moving across the counrty. Blue bubbles represent your forces, red are other players, and green are reinforcments.

Army
This is an army marching to war!

Scout
These are fast horsemen who can forage stashes and scout castles.

Merchent
Merchents trade items with players and parishes.

Captain
Captains are armies headed by captains, making them even more powerful.

Stash
Stashes with questing marks havn't yet been recovered. Send scouts to them to Uncover resources.

Wolf Lair
Wolf lairs are everywhere. Their size can vary from a few to hundred of wolves; attack with caution.

Bandit Camp
Bandits have entered the parish, show no mercy! Bandit camps are usually weaker and taken down eaisily.

AI Castles
Enemy castles that can vary in strength according to their name. Rat is the easiest while wolf is the best fortified.

Plauge Rat
Plauge can travel from parish to parish; hope it isn't yours.
Villages
When you click on the village icon in the upper right you will enter your village.

On the left is your building menu to place new buildings. You should start out with a stockpile (stores raw material), a town hall (banquet goods), and a granery (food). The following is a list of diffrent buildings you can make:

Apple Orchard
Grow apples. You can upgrade them in the 'Orchard Management' reaserch tab.

Dairy Farm
Produces cheese. Rank them up at the 'Dairy Farming' tab.

Pig Farm
Produces meat. Can be ranked up at the 'Pig Breeding' research tab.

Inn
A storehouse for ale, which increases your popularity. Build a Brewery to get ale.

Stone Quarry
Produces stone. Build this on piles of stone. Upgrade it at the 'Stone Quarrying' research tab.

Woodcutters Hut
Produces wood. Place near trees. Upgrade it at the 'Forestry' tab.

Hunter's Hut
Produces venison, a banqueting good.

Ranks
To progress through the game, you need to travel through the ranks! There are 22 ranks to travel through, from village idoit to prince. To upgrade ranks you need Honour, which is obtained from attacking AI castles and doing other heroic deeds.
At first, you will only need small amounts of honour to rank up. Later though, there are subranks which require muiltiple stages of honour.

But what does ranking up do? Having a higher rank lets you research more advanced things, have more villages, and have higher status amoung other players.
Communication
Mail
Mail can be accesed through the envelope at the top of the screen.

After clicking that, you can send messages to other players.

Factions
Faction are the groups of players that try to win the glory race, or contest to get the most honour. The best factions are part of houses, which can have up to 12 factions. You won't be able to join a faction until you get the the rank of Alderman(12).

Chat
THe chat can be accesed from the button to the right of the mail button.
You can communicate to players on a global scale.
