SUBSCRIBING DOESN'T WORK - PLEASE USE THE DROPBOX LINK FOR NOW

The workshop isn't working properly for this
Here is a new dropbox link until I can finally get the workshop to work for this item:

Dropbox Link [dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

you can still subscribe just to show your support for me, but get the files using the link

Subscribe to download the original scripting guides:
RMSG - Random Map Scripting Guide - use this to learn how to make your own random map scripts
CPSB - Computer Player Strategy Builder - use this to learn how to make your own AI scripts

and the original sample scripts:
HALLOWED - A random map script that has lots of relics
TRADERS - A random map where players start with markets and trade carts
SAMPLEAI - A sample AI script

Also included
New RMS Guide (by: Bultro) - Good additional reading for random map scripts. It's more condensed and points out mistakes in the original guide.
originally available at AOK Heaven [aok.heavengames.com]

These guides where what I used to make my first scripts for Age of Empires II and they are great resource that should not be missing from the HD edition.

I did not write these guides or sample scripts and in no way claim credit for making them. I am simply uploading them because I found them useful in making my own scripts, and as far as I can tell they were not included in AoE2 HD.

To see scripts that I made based on these guides, check out my other Workshop submissions.

If you want to learn about random map scripting, here is a guide with some pointers to get you started.

I've posted a Scripting pack that includes everything in this set, plus more (constant lists, more sample scripts, RMS Toolkit). It's available here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=224846774

PsPad is great, but takes a while to get used to

Nevermind, answered my own question. There is a IDE called "Pspad" that can have a RMS package library added to it for use of coding out the RMS.. I checked it out and it is nice. Has code highlighting.

Hey,

Are there any IDE's that can be used to make these scripts?

Thanks guys for telling me about this issue. I now uploaded it all as a single zip file to see if that might fix the problem. I will keep the dropbox link active until I know that the Workshop works.

When subscribing to this mod, I only get the CPSB.DOC file in /Docs/en/ folder and nothing else. Not even 1 scenario or anything.
Thanks for the dropbox link. You could put it into mod description just in case

I just checked and I did select all the files ... hmm, maybe a mod can't make new folders...
Did the RMSG file turn up for you, or just the CPSG?
Also, you will need some version of word - although anything up from office 97 should in theory work. If you don't have word, try openoffice (it's free).

If the files still have not dowloaded for you, I put them on dropbox temporarily.

The only thing showing up in my docs folder after subscribing is a CPSB file for Microsoft word 9, which I don't have, denying me access to whatever it contains. I also don't have any "goodies" folder. Am I doing something wrong over here? :)
