There is now also a V4 as an alternative available, using a different approach on the land textures:

Included are the following mods:
- The land pack V4
- The moving water pack V2.5
- The mines upgrade V3
- The cliff upgrade V2

Updates to land textures:
- more diverse looking grass, dirt, desert and beach
- completely new roads, snow and shallow (looks like a swamp now)
- better blending terrains

Some textures are based on ones I found in other mods:
- Farms: based on Mike's Real Farms - V2 / based on Shayne's ST farm texture
- Desert: includs elements based on KalaAveR's Texture Pack V2

Thanks for sharing all these great textures.

For a mod is never 'finished' - only published at some point - if you think a specific texture or elements of it should be further improved, changed (to an other), redone or simply doesn't satisfy you as much as the others - please tell me!

IF YOU WANT TO USE A VARIANT OF MY TEXTURES THAT ISN'T AVAILABLE UNTIL NOW - a Grid version of the newest land textures, another 'cold' version, a seperate dirt pack or something like that - JUST ASK!

If a mod doesn't work after subscribing to it:

- Don't cancel the games intro before the AoK video starts as at that time mod data is (down)loaded.
- Steam can only handle a couple of mods (in my case 30) and while you can subscribe many more, they aren't taken into account unless you unsubscribe old mods (after unsubscribing some scenarios, they were still available ingame for me)
- Sometimes after unsubscribing an old mod changing the same data as the new one, you have to verify your game cache to function (see below)

For uninstalling the textures you have to do two things:

1. Unsubscribe from the mod
2. Go to your steam library, right click Aoe2 HD and go to properties/local files. There click on verifying game cache. Then steam will restore all changed and now unsubscribed files.

Sometimes steam doesn't realise an unsubscription and you have to delete the mod file from your 'mods' folder manually before verifying.

Other files aren't deleted by steam at all. I experienced that with scenarios, but it seems that can also happen with textures and other modded files in some cases.

You're talking about the non-terrain graphics that are still present after verifying your game cache, right?

Steam just takes care of official game files. But AoE uses additional files for its modding system in most cases.

You can see this with rms, scenarios, some taunts, some soundtrack files, all non-terrain graphics and some other.

To get rid of these files you have to delete them manually.
Easiest way is to delete the folder they are in before verifying. All still needed files will be reloaded automatically this way.

For most graphics (and the ones in my packs as well), delete the AoE\data\slp folder.

Definatelly not :) - at least if it's no too old...^^

It's really annying, most workshop bugs can be solved 'relativelly easy', but occasional (as in only you are reporting them) lags are really hard to fix from my side.
