White Room (Simple Edition)

This simpler version of White Room is supposed to help bring those on track who have been struggling with the normal version. To anybody else it's just a simple and short test.

Yea it was just fooling around. Dont worry about it. As u said, if this happens, a restart wont lose much time in the puzzle.

Did you notice the title of the chamber? The idea is to not have a single black tile in it. ;)
I could make it that you can't portal there, the question is if it's really necessary. With such a short puzzle you don't lose any progress by restarting the map if this thing would happen accidentally.

I was deliberatedly trying to do that. Kind of a rage quit moment after i failed realizing how to solve it
To fix it its simple: Just unportal the floor tile which is facing the dropper, assuming it wont damage the solving process.

I know about this issue, but didn't think it would be an issue on this map. Did it happen to you by accident here or were you just experimenting what could go wrong? I'd rather not edit the map if it's unlikely to happen to anyone, unless there was a valid reason somebody would put the funnel under the dropper.

I havent finished the puzzle yet but i've found a way to break it. Not in term of solving it in a different way, but to make it unsolvable.
Like any puzzle with a cube dropper and a tractor beam, whenever the beam is aimed directly at the dropper from below, it makes the next-cube-to-be-dropped to fly in that small spawn area inside the dropper, when u force the dropper to drop a cube, it will keep the already-existed cube to float inside the dropper while spawning another cube, thus making 2 cubes inside the dropper. When this happens, its impossible to drop a cube regardless if there is a beam directed at it or not.

Btw, having a pressure/pedestal button wont fix this.

I finally solved the "main" White Room, and strangely, I prefered this simple edition.
The solution statisfied me much more. I really like this test, well done for making it !

I crossed it, stopped, found fruitless ideas, until a clean and simple solution came. I liked it. A recorded blind run would have been annoying because I didn't move a lot, so I just recorded a demo with my solution, which I'm sure is the intended one (unfortunately ^^) http://d0bgqy.1fichier.com/ (I don't have anything yet to record demos, that's why it's a "dem" file)
Now, let's try the "regular" one :)
