Description
Lore:

The economy of Japan is booming steadily and the shogun seeks for a place to live for the increasing polulation. He discussed with his both brave and wise generals and came to the conclusion that the peninsula of Korea would be a good spot for his expansion plans. He knows that the Korean defenses are to strong to be overrun by his army under leadership of the feared samurai but the most insidious advisor of the shogun found a weak spot: Their religion. If the Japanese fleet under the comand of a young and ambitious general manages to capture and transport enough relics into a monastery on Japan, the Korean army will have a weak morale and will not continue to fight.

Scenario:

In this two player scenario you fight on the Japanese (Player 1) or on the Korean (Player 2) side over the Korea strait. Both players have different objectives:

-Player 1: Place 10 relics in your monastery on your main Island, symbolising Japan.

-Player 2: Defend as many relics as you can. After 45 minutes you will win.

Version 1.1 is out now, there has been polished balance and overall gameplay. Have fun trying it out.

Well, thanks a lot for the feedback. I try to improve it as soon as possible. ;)

So I played through this scenario a few times as both the Koreans and as the Japanese. I only played against the CPU not against a human (which might have influenced my experience). Here are some observations and advice:

My experience:
I found it considerably harder to play as the Japanese than as the Korans. The Koreans have enough of every resource and control most of the map while the Japanese have no stone, not much land and an inferior fleet. Their infantry is the one superior aspect.
Also, as far as I could tell, there are exactly 10 relics on the map and 10 are needed for victory. Even playing against an easy CPU, I was too slow to get all the relics in time (although I almost made it). Conversely, even a hardest CPU was unable to beat me as the Koreans (although that might be partly because it wouldn’t load monks on to transport ships).

Other observations:
I noticed that when I played as the Koreans, I started in the castle age, but when the CPU was the Korans, it started in the feudal age.
When I played as the Korans, I got a message saying "you were defeated" after 30 min of successfully defending the relicts.

Part 2

Suggestions to consider:

-Add a little bit stone for the Japanese (to upgrade towers for example)
-Reduce the number of relics required for victory, or increase the time, or increase the total number of relics
-Disable monasteries for the Koreans (to prevent them from bringing relics to safer islands)
-Add scenario instructions
-A timer telling how long it is until the Koreans win would be helpful - but I don't know if that is possible (maybe a 10 min warning would work instead).
-Add a picture that shows up in the workshop (click "add preview” when you are uploading a new version of this scenario). That will get more people to look at it and subscribe to it.

That said, I like the idea and premise for this scenario. It's not too long and a makes for good game. I know I mentioned a lot of issues up there, but it's all meant to be constructive :)

At the moment i am working on an improved version of the map. It will be bigger, last longer, have more triggers and be more beautiful, of course.
