OK, let me try to explain from memory. I recall putting a cube on a button to activate an excursion funnel and riding it just short of a laser barrier. Then I dropped a reflection cube, which I moved ahead by dropping it through portals and a laser barrier to where I would pick it up later. The problem was that, instinctively, I had gone back for the plain cube so the excursion funnel was no longer running and I was then stuck. I could not see how to go and put the cube back, short of starting again, and I did not have a quicksave in the right place..

Hi Bayram, sorry to hear that. Where exactly did you get into trouble? You're not supposed to get really stuck (apart from one place where you just have to use a portal to get back to where you were before, after you get a certain task done). In any case thanks for your comments. If you let me know where, and with what part, you had problems then I'd be happy to see if I can make it a little easier without destroying the intention of some parts.

I've been struggling with this map for a while, mainly because of Jade BGE's involvement (I have a lot of respect for her). I completed it today, but I have to say it wasn't exactly fun, so I'm not going to leave a rating either way. My problems were that I wasn't able to clearly see the puzzle I was working on, so I found myself just doing stuff and then figuring out whether it seemed to be a good idea or not, and also that there were many opportunities to do the wrong thing and get stuck so that I had to start again if I didn't have exactly the right save point.

Thanks again for your comments, helping me to improve it. With the changes you will be able to make a few more mistakes at the start without getting killed over it ;) About the last room: I did not change much there; you just need to figure out the right combination of buttons pressed etc to enable the tractor beam, then first let it go one way, and later the other. Hope you enjoyed it more this time, and that others will too :)

That was much improved. It was more clear to me how you wanted us to use the faith plate/flip panel combo in the beginning. And before the reverse funnel was not enabled for me to get over to the exit, or at least I did not see it to be and now it is. Much more fun now. Thanks for your work.

Based upon your helpful notes I've made some changes. Removed the first laserfield, and added a platform at that spot so you have a chance to go back if you missed the places to put portals. About the place where you have to place a cube to start (and maintain the tractor beam), you can and need to get back there only once (with a cube) and you can is you stand at the right angle. Made some changes, and used some lights to better see where you need to go (or not go) and used fizzers to prevent turning back on this mostly linear map (or taking objects along further than necessary). Thanks again for helping finding weaker spots in the map! It's much appreciated.

The red barrier above the flip panel was the one I didn't care for.
The point were I thought it could be lost was where you place the cube that turns on the funnle, we get in the funnel traveling just befor the lazer field and get out of the funnel. There is the portal surface now where the line of turrets is and another across the water; If I shoot a portal surface acrosss the water and go over there I may make the wrong color closing my way back to the funnel which I need to continue past the red barrier. There was a cube button there and if I moved the cube the funnel will shut off and I canot continue. It's a bit convoluted in my mind at the moment.
I saw the funnel was on the opposit side of the water and it pushed the franken to me; I see the platform moves under it but I cannot see how to get myself over there.

I will see what I can do about the start (where it isn't necessary to die if you find out what the button is for before you go for the jump) ;) Do you think it would help if I remove the first laser field ?

The point that I think you are referring to where you could lose your portal, it is actually possible to still put a portal back where you were before if you mean at the place where you get the sphere? .

If it is still possible to bring those items to the last room then I will fix that. ;) Thanks.
To get to the platform is not hard you just follow the tractor beam till the end and you will find it

When you're making a map and know it through and through it's hard to still see it objectively, so your comments (or someone else's) is very valuable. So thanks again.
