Description
There now is a V2 of my cliffs available (slightly lighter):

This mod contains new graphics for the cliffs.

Every time since the original AoE2 was published, I wondered why they implemented brown colored cliffs.

When I tried the awesome new grey cliffs in the predecessor of Drogan's mod, I realised that they looked great in conjunction with grass and snow but looked a bit out of place with the desert and some dirt textures.

So I recolored them to a tone that I think fits all terrain textures - brown.^^

They are based on Drognan's 'Trees, cliffs and mines replacer v2':

In AoE every object can only have one animation/graphic. So changing graphics can only be done by implementing clones. But that means to change the game mechanic and is problematic in MP.

Same for snow. There is a flag that defines a snow graphic, but that one is only available for buildings.

So sadly there are only two possibilities: Changing the graphics manually every time needed or use a graphic that is kind of the best compromise.

For that reason I did the V2 of my cliffs which are lighter. But they also are far from perfect.

I'm going to have to agree with Stryker. They look too brown with some types of maps. I can imagine how difficult it must be to make a cliff that looks good with everything. I'm assuming that you can't make seperate cliffs for the different map types. The grey cliff looks amazing on forest levels

Just uploaded a V2 of m cliffs:

The V2 cliffs are a bit lighter. Therefore I think they fit better snowy terrain a little. And the seams are less visible again (they were already present in the original files by Drognan but due to their light grey color far less visible).

This version will stay for everyone that wants the cliffs as saturated as they are in V1.

@ STRYKER
Couldn't find any opportunity to implement snow into the cliffs only for snowy terrain.

But I'm open to suggestions if someone has an idea for changing the cliffs in a way that they fit all terrain types as good as possible so don't hesitate to tell me.
That said I myself think they don't really look out of place in snowy terrain right now.^^

Will have to have a look how AoE handles the snow for buildings. Don't know yet if you can do something similar to the cliffs - but will investigate this.

the cliffs look awful on snow :/ can you add some snow on the cliffs so it will blend in much better? thanks
