I didn't see anything around that just got this done so I took the time to do it myself.

For players who would prefer it this way, DSBBTD simply swaps the Value and Armor Rating of Daedric and Dragonplate armors so that Dragonplate is better than Daedric.

Let's be honest, Daedric looks better than dragonplate.

How does this effect reinforcement values? Vanilla dragonplate gives more defense at legendary than daedric does.

they probably made deadric better just because its harder to make their armor or harder to find

Dragons are aedra. Deadra are... well, daedra. Both groups are immortal and very powerful, and mortals have taken to exploiting both groups' internal organs for art projects. lol

In dragon arms and armor, the remains are more directly used as the base material for doing the job.
In daedric arms and armor, ebony is the base material, and the exploited organ is a heart melted in.

Deadra hearts seem more "magical," so perhaps they could yield stronger enchantments and magic resistance in exchange for being second to dragon armor for physical damage?

I never got why Daedric was better than Dragonbone, Dragonbone needs level 100 in smithing, while Daedric is 90... just doesn't make sense. Its maybe because with Dawnguard you could make Dragonbone weapons, which are OBVIOUSLY stronger then Daedric. Other people do have a point where Daedra/Dremora are pretty rare.

totally agree with mjlarson1. Bullheaded Pro-Lore seems like fundamentalism to me.

@mjilarson1 I agree, a better mod would switch the perks, so you can craft Dragon at 90 and Deadric at 100. However, I like to pretend my dragon armor is made from Alduin himself, which would be much more powerful then the lesser Deadra.

This is the first Elder Scrolls game I have played, but just looking at the comments on this mod, I would have to disagree with a lot of the points made.

1. Daedric armor is tougher to make. At level 23, I had the mats to make a set of Daedric armor and I had killed 3 dragons and I did not have the required mats to make a set of Dragonplate.

2. Daedra are somehow tougher/rarer. Mages can summon them to do their bidding so they aren't exactly the toughest in the will, or power, departments. Given you can't get Daedra Hearts from summoned ones, but I encountered enough lower level Dremora and they weren't that tough to kill to get Hearts fairly easily.

3. It goes against lore. That one leaves me in a quandry. The Dragon armor is weaker and lighter, while the Dragon weapons are stronger and heavier. There seems to be a contradiction here. I don't buy the heavier is stronger argument either. If that was the case, then Dwarven armor should be stronger than Dragonplate.
